Grateful to @VoyageLA for giving me the opportunity to share a little more of my story. 🙏🏾

From starting this journey at 8 years old to now being 18 and preparing for my next chapter, it’s been a ride! This conversation gave me a chance to reflect on the wins, the challenges, the lessons, and why I’m still committed to making an impact.

The journey is far from over. I’m just getting started. 💯

Thank you, VoyageLA, for the feature!

Late post: Giving Tuesday SparkCon 2026 CHICAGO photo dump

We had the honor of attending Giving Tuesday’s national youth leadership conference, @givingtuesdayspark Con, at Roosevelt University.

Avery joined other young leaders from across the country, served others, exchanged ideas, and built friendships with kids who are each making a difference in their own communities.

One of the most meaningful experiences was our trip to Cornerstone Community Outreach Center @ccolife to serve neighbors experiencing homelessness on the north side of Chicago.

Together, the Spark Leaders and parents delivered water, shoes, and other essential supplies to several encampments along Lake Shore Drive. These dynamic young people are told they could be the leaders of tomorrow, but this was a reminder that they’re leading right NOW.

Thank you to Giving Tuesday and everyone who made SparkCon such a great experience. We left inspired, encouraged, and even more convinced that you’re never too young to make a difference.

To celebrate a successful SparkCon, we wrapped up the day at Punch Bowl Social. We bowled, played games, and laughed nonstop. It was the perfect way to relax and enjoy the last few hours with our friends.

As the night came to an end, I realized our time together was over. It was bittersweet knowing many of these incredible leaders would be leaving early the next morning. While I was sad to say goodbye, I’m so thankful for the friendships, memories, and inspiration we shared. I can’t wait until our paths cross again!! 💛

A huge thank you to the amazing Giving Tuesday advisor leaders, without them SparkCon wouldn’t have been possible! We are so grateful for their guidance and support!!
