Today we hiked in Seahurst City Park, Burien. We found her, the phone of the wind & I called an abuser from my childhood, an old neighbor. I told him of the harm he caused, but that I forgave him. This park is magical, esp. the old growth forest, ferns taller than me, nurse trees, & mushrooms. Thanks @w0lfes for introducing me to Seahurst last yr. If u go, the phone is on a trail to the right of the 2nd enclosed building, the marine technology center. #hikingartist #seahurstpark #healingfromnature #pnwparadise

Yesterday while hiking from Comet Falls, Mount Rainier (near Paradise), a Stellar Jay let me get 3-4’ from him to take photos. When I was totally exhausted, Mr. S. Jay appeared & guided us down the path quite a way. He was so curious & open hearted that I interpreted him to be a messenger, telling me to trust God, the steep rocky path, myself, & Bart.

It took us 4 hrs to do the 4-mile loop w 900’ elevation gain. The area where we hiked was over 4,500’ in elevation & the air was so cleansing. It would have taken Bart by himself 2 hrs max, but he helped me a lot. He’s like a mountain goat.

The orange liquid in one of the photos is naturally occurring iron in Mount Rainier’s water; it would make a lovely pigment, but one cannot take anything from the park.

I need new boots; my current ones have over 1000 miles of use and have no thread on the heals. #ilovenationalparks #hikingartist #healingfromnature #mountrainernationalpark

#wondersense An interactive museum where we used all of our senses - similar to Meow Wolf - felt like kids again! The infinity room reminded me of Yayoi Kusama’s work. #porto #interactiveart

Porto street & train station.
Barcelos church, rooster, Roman bridge (with Roman cement!!!), & tomb from the 1300s. The Barcelos archeology museum had no ceilings, no staff. Legend has it that a rooster (Portugal’s symbol) crowed loudly when a judge was eating it roasted because the judge was hanging an innocent pilgrim. The pilgrim was walking el Camino de Santiago. #caminodesantiago #romancement #portotrainstation

Call us crazy! Today we returned to a Michelin star restaurant (Pedra Furada) in a remote Portuguese town. We found this tiny gem 3 yrs ago on the Portuguese central route near Barcelos. We walked about 6.5 miles today for this adventure. Yesterday we visited a Celtic/early Galician settlement that had over 4,000 residents before Roman times. We climbed about 850 feet in elevation to see this advanced former city. It’s been about 90 degrees Fahrenheit. We will continue the Camino another year. #caminoportugués #caminodesantiago #foodiehikes Ferry fr Spain to Portugal
