Your warm up should prepare you to move fast. If you need a recovery day afterward, we may have misunderstood the assignment. The @weckmethod ProPulse Power Vest by @thedavidweck puts spring-loaded moving weights around your torso. As you accelerate, land, and change direction, those weights move relative to your body, compressing and releasing their springs. That changes the timing and feel of the resistance. Basic inertia and elastic energy, wearing a rather fetching vest. The springs temporarily store energy from your movement and return some of it as they recoil. No batteries. No free horsepower. You’re still the engine. Here’s why that interests me as a coach. Sprinting and plyometrics require you to absorb force and rapidly produce it again. Your muscles and tendons coordinate that transition through the stretch-shortening cycle. The vest adds a reactive loading stimulus you can use to practice rhythm, posture, and the timing of each ground contact. That makes it an interesting priming tool. After getting warm, use a few brief sets of controlled pogos, skips, and progressive movement drills. Keep the loading manageable and the reps crisp. Then remove it, recover, and build into your faster work. The goal is to arrive at your sprints and jumps feeling prepared and responsive. Exhaustion is remarkably easy to manufacture. Readiness takes a little judgment. And feeling lighter afterward isn’t automatically proof you’re faster. Let the quality of your movement, your jump height, or the stopwatch settle that discussion. Go to weckmethod.com and use code WMKINETIC to save on the ProPulse Power Vest. Prime the engine. Then give it somewhere to go. Live Kinetically ⚡️⚡️⚡️

This is what 4:1 looks like in a real session 🌀 A WeckMethodized session with my client Baška 🦾 We try to match the 4:1 training principle: in every block we keep 4 coiled, rotational exercises to 1 bilateral one. 🧠 We started with rope flow, side to side. Honestly the most fun part of the session 😎 One arm dumbbell, one side at a time. 💪🏽 Then bilateral jumps onto the BOSU. That’s the 1. ✅ The finisher mixes both: land on two feet, jump off two, stick the landing on one. 🔥 Keep your squats. Just don’t let them be the whole session. 👌🏽 Save it for your next session 👇 Keep coiling. 🌀 #weckmethod #rotationaltraining #ropeflow #plyometrics #strengthandconditioning

Keep your squats. Just add 4:1. 🌀 Pick one pattern and aim for four side bends for every one center. Straight from the WeckMethod manual. 📖 Side bend: one side shortens, the other lengthens. You coil. 🦾 Center: both sides work together. Squat, deadlift, broad jump. ✅ One squat pattern, counted: 1️⃣ Bulgarian split squat, one rep each side. 2 side bends. 2️⃣ Goblet squat, one rep. 1 center. 3️⃣ Walking lunge, one step each side. 2 more side bends. That’s 4:1. 🔥 Slide 7 is my client Baška in a real session. The full reel drops this week 👀 Save it for your next leg day and try it on one pattern. Tell me how it felt 👇 Keep coiling. 🌀 #weckmethod #coilingcore #rotationaltraining #strengthandconditioning #functionaltraining

Stop training anti-rotation. Start training rotation. 🌀 Bracing your core to resist movement is useful, but it is only half the job. Life and sport don’t ask you to stay still. They ask you to turn. Swipe for three simple swaps that take your core from holding still to producing power 👇 1️⃣ Plank into coiling core 2️⃣ Dead bug into a BOSU coil 3️⃣ Russian twist into a rotational kettlebell swing Nothing wrong with the plank. Keep it to learn control, then train the turn. I don’t stick to one camp. I take from each what actually works. ✅ And strength still matters 💪🏽 Keep your squats and presses. We just prefer a 4:1 ratio, rotational/coiled to bilateral. More on that next week. Plank or coil, what’s in your program right now? 🧐 Save this and follow @rotational_x, powered by WeckMethod. 🦾 #rotationaltraining #spinalengine #weckmethod #coretraining #ropeflow

🦶🧠 . . #ConLosPiesEnLaTierra #EntrenamientoDelPie #Biomecanica #CadenasMiofasciales #MovimientoHumano

Core strength does not come from planks. It comes from the coil. 🌀 Planks teach you to hold still. Life never asks you to hold still in oerfect position , but in any position and thats objective when you go deeper in spiral lines and ways that bidy can move and operate effectively 💪🏼 The coil is what your body does when you walk, throw or run. One side shortens, the other lengthens, and the spine loads like a spring. 🧠 Look at the clips. Standing, sitting, on the floor, in a lunge, with a club. Different drill, same pattern. That is the whole point. ✅ Echt, the Netherlands, September 2023. My RMTS certification weekend. This is where I learned to see the coil in every position. 🙏 This weekend I am in Erkrath as assistant coach for RMTS and WMQ, next to @thedavidweck and @erodingweakness. 🦾 Friday is open to anyone who trains. 30 % off, registration closes tonight, link in bio. 👇 Questions about level or travel, just DM me. 🤝 Keep coiling. 🌀 #weckmethod #coilingcore #rotationaltraining #corestrength #movementcoach

The man who invented the BOSU is teaching near Düsseldorf. 🌀 August 28, 29 and 30 in Erkrath. Three days with the people who built the method, not with somebody repeating drills they saw online. Friday is the Rotational Movement Training certification and it is open to anyone who trains. You do not have to be a coach. ✅ Saturday and Sunday is the WeckMethod Qualification, and it needs that Friday certification first. You get the system underneath the drills, and your own body corrected in real time. 🦾 I am on the floor as assistant coach, WeckMethod Master Coach for Europe.
