This was my (stay-at-home) Rhinebeck weekend. I took the Grid Gambit cowl out for a test drive, knit with 100% handspun. The colour changing yarn was spun perfectly by @lilydogyarns from a @wee.chickadee braid of Shetland. The grey was spun by myself in my Cygnet base made with merino and CVM. The yarn in question. You can see the Jacqueline’s yarn’s crisp ply structure from here 🫡 I also said farewell to one of my beloved fibre farms. The farmer had to give up her Corriedale flock due to health issues. I took a trip over to see her and take some of her rovings off her hands. In an effort to share her legacy, they will be available to purchase when my website launches and once they’re gone, they’re gone😢 but make sure to tag me in everything you make because I’ll be sending her regular updates! The fibre community really knew how to cheer me up on Sunday when I went to the first knit night hosted by @generationsknitting at @l0w_bar. Olivia is the sweetest person and I’m so honoured to be part of her knit community🥰

WOW! I am so honored that Jennifer @jellyfish_legs chose my yarn for such a special project. Jennifer was selected in my “almost 2000” giveaway last March and I am so excited that she chose it to weave such an incredible piece! It is 2 ply BFL/Silk from @wee.chickadee . I originally spun this September 2024, and I’ve included some pics from that post. Photos 1-3 photo credit to Jennifer. Please check out Jennifer’s Reel. It’s so sweet and fun! #spinnersofinstagram #handspun #handspunyarn

New Offering! (continued 3/3) I love procuring gorgeous fiber braids. I know I have learned to spin, but I purchased these with the purpose to create blends. If you would like any of these braids made into mini batts or rolags, they are available for an introductory price of $8 per ounce. Let me know if you want any of them combined or created with add-ins such as bamboo, firestar, silk noil, etc.

My Tour de Fleece progress this year! I almost spin up an entire 8oz bobbin of various braids from @wee.chickadee I also spun up a sample of the same braids with some BFL from @fatcatknitsdyer for a Traveler Hoodie! I also worked on a lingering WIP that I haven’t worked on in a while. Even though TdF is done, I’m far from being done with my spinning! I’m excited to keep going and have an amazing sweater when I’m done! #tdf #tdf2026 #spinning #handspun #yarn

#TourDeFleece2026 is in full swing, and I’m in love with my projects this year! The green batt is from Keira Wiggins on a Schneider glider Turkish spindle, I’m carding and spinning my white cormo from New York Sheep and Wool 2024, the moody singles are two Wee Chickadee braids, and I’m pondering a second sweater spin with braids also from Keira Wiggins, all from my stash. Go #stashdashers and happy spinning to all who celebrate!

Day 9: Tour de Fleece 2026 Finished plying the first 4oz of my 8oz fractal I had planned. Took a bit longer than planned because I’m absolutely enthralled in knitting right now but I think I’m hitting my goal of 30 min spinning a day! @wee.chickadee polwarth colorway wisp #tourdefleece2026 #yarn #spinningyarn
