We are baking for a cookie reception, and not just any cookie reception 👀

On Monday, November 2, we will be @weitzmanmuseum for A Sweet Conversation, an evening with cookbook authors Leah Koenig (The Dessert Table) and Susan Spungen (Cookie Queen), moderated by Kae Lani Palmisano, as part of this year’s Cookbooks & Convos festival hosted by @sisterlylovephilly

After the talk comes the best part: a cookie reception where a few awesome Philly bakers serve their own takes on recipes from the two books. We are interpreting a recipe from Cookie Queen, Whipped style, which means decorated cookies, and naturally a bit of cake.

Come hear two wonderful authors talk Jewish desserts, meet them at the signing, and eat a lot of cookies, including ours.
Tickets are at the link in bio, and our code WHIPPED takes $15 off. See you there! 🍪🍪🍪

A perfect before-nap outing was had last Saturday 🎨

We checked out Color Lab + Colors of Creation at the Weitzman. A little exploring, a lot of color, and a light show that had me just as invested as the kids.

Adding this one to your “what are we doing with the kids this weekend?” list. Save it for a colorful little morning out ✨

Hi, I’m Paige 👋 Philly mom of two, recreational therapist, and the friend who plans your Saturday before nap. Follow @phillywithpaige for more city adventures with little kids.

A Week of Remembrance, Courage, Hope, and Community

This past week, our community gathered to honor and remember the victims and heroes of October 7th through two powerful, deeply moving screenings.

We extend our profound gratitude to our audiences who came together to bear witness, reflect, and stand as one.
Our heartfelt thanks go to the remarkable filmmakers and survivors who joined us in person, sharing their stories, their pain, hope, and their immense resilience.

An endeavor of this magnitude would not be possible without the generous, steadfast dedication of our sponsors, whose support sustains our mission throughout the entire year.

Thank you for being part of our story and our community.

I’m thrilled to share that we’ll be part of Philadelphia’s @cookbooksandconvos by @sisterlylovephilly this fall - a celebration of chefs, authors and the Philadelphia food community through cookbooks, presented by @opentable 📚✨

This annual festival gathers some of the country’s most inspiring cookbook authors, chefs, and restaurants and bars, and I’m so excited to be on this lineup. I’ll be at the Weitzman National Museum of American Jewish History on November 2 for “A Sweet Conversation” with Leah Koenig & Susan Spungen on Jewish desserts, followed by a cookie reception where we’ll be sharing our own take on recipes from their books, The Dessert Table and Cookie Queen. I’d love for you to join me!

Tickets are live now through the link in my stories!

A huge thank you to the sponsors who made this festival possible: @phillymag @visitphilly @comcast @weitzmanmuseum

A FREE immersive experience in Philadelphia that I almost didn’t know existed.

This is Colors of Creation at The Weitzman — a 360° experience with light, sound, color and interactive projections that actually respond to your movement.

And this isn’t just something for kids. The visuals alone make it a really different experience if you’re looking for something new to do in Philly.

The best part? Colors of Creation is currently FREE through October 31. Walk-ins are welcome, but I’d reserve a timed spot before going.

Want the exact location + reservation details?

Comment “COLORS” and I’ll send everything to your DM.

Follow @the_pakkalocal for more Philly finds, weekend plans and places you probably wouldn’t find on your usual list.

We stumbled onto the most incredible kids’ experience in Philly this month — and it was free. 🎨
The Colors of Creation exhibit at @weitzmanmuseum is honestly unlike anything we’ve done before! My daughter was completely mesmerized the whole time and we couldn’t stop talking about it on the way home. 📢
If you want to catch it before you have to pay, get there in October — but truthfully, it’s worth every penny if you do pay! Trust me, you don’t want to miss this hidden gem. ✨💎
