Yesterday, our 9th grade students had the opportunity to travel to Philadelphia and visit the National Museum of American Jewish History.

It was an experience filled with learning of the stories that have shaped our country.

A heartfelt thank you to Steve Foldes ’66, whose generosity made this special experience possible for our students.

We are incredibly grateful for Wyoming Seminary Alumni who continue to give back and create meaningful opportunities for the next generation of Sem students.

Tomorrow night begins #SimchatTorah, a holiday built around a cycle that never really ends. 🔁

Over the course of the year, Jewish communities read through the Torah, the first five books in the Hebrew Bible. On Simchat Torah (Hebrew for "Rejoicing in the Torah") the end of Deuteronomy is read, and then the cycle begins again with Genesis.

The occasion is celebrated with hakafot, joyful processions in which Torah scrolls are carried around the synagogue amid singing and dancing.

You say succah, we say sukkah. We’re both right. 🤝

Hebrew doesn’t always fit neatly into the English alphabet, so when סוכה makes the journey from one to the other, you might see a few different spellings along the way.
