💭 Word Up Wednesdays For the girls who believe more is more. ✨ I’ve never been particularly interested in saving the fabulous things for best. The statement coat, the dramatic earrings, the outfit that’s arguably 10% too much for a Tuesday. Especially that one. There’s real joy to be found in dressing for the mood you intend to be in. Giving your future self a little say in the wardrobe decisions and allowing an ordinary day to become an occasion simply because you decided it deserved one. And I’ve always thought maximalism makes a rather good philosophy for life, too. More colour. More personality. More of the things that make you feel gloriously yourself. The same goes for the world you’re building around your brand. I’ve seen far too many brilliant women edit away the very details that make them interesting, usually in pursuit of sounding a little more polished, professional or palatable. Personally, I’d rather see the opinions, the stories, the eccentricities and the fabulous bits that make someone unmistakable. Wear the outfit. Buy the shoes. Let your brand have a little personality. You’re in The Write Field, Darling. 🪩

“GET IN THE DITCH WITH YOUR CHILD!” ❤️ You don’t have to have all the answers or fix everything. Don’t stand outside the ditch watching your child struggle. Get in there with them. Let them know they’re not alone. One powerful message from @doctorshefali thought-provoking talk on conscious parenting. As the youngest of six, growing up in the 70s, I belonged to a generation where children were often expected to be seen and not heard. My opinions weren’t always valued, my choices weren’t always mine, and I didn’t always feel my voice mattered. Perhaps that’s why I’ve always wanted to parent differently. To listen. To give my children space to explore who they are, make choices, make mistakes and change their minds. It’s something I carry into my work as a physiotherapist too. I listen not just to understand where my patients hurt, but what they’re going through and what matters to them. When someone speaks from the heart, I want them to feel truly heard. ❤️ Dr Shefali explained how our children’s behaviour can trigger something in US, often rooted in our own childhood experiences. And children are constantly trying out different versions of themselves. That’s their job! I came away feeling pretty good about the way I parent! Not because I have all the answers (far from it! 😂), but because I want my children to feel safe enough to talk to me, whatever happens. My job isn’t to fix everything. It’s to help them feel heard, supported and free to become who they are. A wonderful afternoon, made even more special by reuniting with friends from Elif’s transformative Turkey retreat! 🥰✨ Thank you @elifkoseofficial and @confidencemagazineofficial for bringing us together! ❤️ And to @nostos.catering.uk for the delicious Greek feast and @london.nootropics of Dragon’s Den fame, for the thoughtful coffee samples! ☕️ The full conversation was filmed by @podcastroombrighton and will be available on YouTube. 🎙️❤️ Are you a fixer, or do you get into the ditch alongside your child? 😜 #DrShefali #ConsciousParenting #ParentingJourney #SelfAwareness #BreakingGenerationalPatterns

Your brand has big plans for you, but you’re still stuck in its “I help women” era. So for 21 days this October, I’m opening up The Write World and inviting you inside. You’ll have my storytelling methodology, 40 of my scripts, 18 daily story drops, two live calls and me in the Telegram room alongside a group of women who also have bigger plans for themselves. The aim isn’t to become a woman who posts more. I want more of your perspective out in the world, more reasons for the right people to remember your name and 18 stories already doing their job while you get on with building the bigger thing. The (No BS) Brand Storytelling Challenge 4–24 October | £79 There’s also a VIP option waiting at checkout which is my worst maths to date and an absolute steal. You’ll see why when you get there. Comment or DM CHALLENGE and I’ll send you the invitation. Come to the front, darling. 🪩
