I’m still thinking about the message Sarah sent me after our last session.

When she first found me, she was a brand new mammy going through a really painful friendship breakup. Just before her baby was born there was a big falling out with a close group of friends, and afterwards she heard people were talking about her behind her back. When she tried to tell them how she felt and ask for a bit of time, they threw her words back at her and made her feel like she was the problem.

She wasn’t being difficult. She was asking for a boundary at one of the most vulnerable times of her life.

Working together, I helped her identify what was really going on, and I gave her the language to say what she needed in a way that left her feeling in control rather than dramatic.

In one session, a personalised channeled meditation finally answered the question she’d been asking herself for over a year, which was why it mattered so much that people understood her.

This is what she sent me the next morning:

“I was shaking with shock & also relief... I felt like a force hitting me in the chest, the why was so obvious. I woke up today feeling so clear & light.”

A few days later, she simply said, “I feel contented.”

If you’ve ever been made to feel like too much for asking for what you need, and you’re replaying the conversation in your head at night wondering if you were the problem, this is for you. Asking for a boundary doesn’t make you difficult, and it never did.

DM me TRUST and let’s talk.

There are conversations you walk away from and spend the next three hours trying to prove to yourself that what you felt didn’t actually happen.

You replay the words. You analyse the tone. You think about what you could have said differently and eventually you land on, “Ah maybe I’m being too sensitive.”

Meanwhile, your gut knew what was going on before you’d even left the bloody room.

This is one of the things that absolutely fascinates me because we are so unbelievably good at giving everybody else the benefit of the doubt while putting our own instincts through a full cross-examination.

And when you’ve spent years being told you’re too sensitive, too loud, too opinionated, making a fuss or getting notions, of course Maggie has plenty of material to work with.

But if you continually come away from conversations with somebody feeling awful about yourself, I want you to start paying attention to that.

Not because every uncomfortable conversation means somebody is out to get you, but because you don’t have to keep explaining away what you notice just to make somebody else’s behaviour easier to swallow.

This is a huge part of why I created I Call Bullshit.

We start on 6 October and over ten weeks I’m taking you through the first three steps of my Warrior Within Us System, because some of the stories you’ve been carrying as facts for years deserve a great big red line through them.

If you know exactly what I’m talking about, DM me BULLSHIT and let’s have a chat.

You do have something to say.

I promise you that you do.

If you’ve been feeling like you’ve lost yourself over the last few years and you don’t have anything to say anymore... I know that feeling. Sitting in the room with the words right there and swallowing them. Wondering where the woman who used to have opinions went. Afraid that maybe she’s not coming back.

She is.

I see it every single time a woman starts working with me. That moment she hears herself again. And it never stops being my favourite part.

Because speaking up, knowing what you want, trusting your own voice? That becomes your new norm.

Comment RADAR and I’ll send you everything you need to know about my workshop on the 22nd.

With love,
Jennifer xoxo

This might just look like a sage stick and a lighter, but to me it represents daily joy! Stick with me as I explain why.

One of my favourite little rituals is cleansing myself with my sage. It helps me clear anything that has attached to me, any negativity and other people’s stuff, and the judgments I might have put on myself and the expectations that were unrealistic, and it’s become a part of my day that I genuinely look forward to.

Researchers at Harvard found that doing a small ritual before a stressful moment reduced people’s anxiety, even when it was a ritual they’d only just been given.

From the outside, it might seem small, but these little rituals are often the things that lift us, ground us, and keep everything flowing. They’re the simple habits that bring a sense of balance and remind me to enjoy the process as much as the big milestones. Here’s to the little things that keep us grounded and make the day brighter.

I’ve shared mine; now tell me, what’s your go-to ritual that keeps you feeling like yourself?

With love,
Jennifer xoxo

Well girls, this is what I want for you this winter, a random Thursday in November where you’re delighted with yourself, your head is calm and relatively quiet, and you’re back in charge of your life.

The recording and workbook bonus for my workshop closes today, Friday 9th October, so if you’ve been meaning to book, today’s the day.

Comment RADAR and I’ll send you the link.

Well girls 💗 These are the sentences I hear from women every single day at this time of year.

“I was going to get back into a routine in September.”
“I keep meaning to look after myself properly.”
“I’ll just start fresh in January.”
“How am I still feeling like this?”

And then life happened, and now it’s October, the evenings are getting darker, winter is coming, and you still feel like you haven’t quite got hold of yourself again.

I know this one personally, because winter affects my mood and energy, and I have to be much more deliberate about how I look after myself. So I’m not saying this from the outside looking in.

After nearly a decade working with women, 250 of them one to one, and my training in neuroscience, I’ve learned that getting unstuck doesn’t always need another long programme or a mountain of homework. Sometimes you just need somebody to help you see the thing you can’t see for yourself.

So we’re not writing the rest of the year off.

On Thursday 22nd October at 1pm Irish time, I’m running a live 30-minute workshop called I Still Haven’t Got My Shit Together and It’s October, where I’ll guide you through one of the processes I use with my private 1:1 clients to uncover what’s really sitting underneath the overwhelm, the procrastination or the funk. No long intro, I’m going straight in.

It’s €27, and if you register by Friday 9th of October, I’ll also send you the recording and my workshop workbook so you can come back to it afterwards.

You can know in your head that you did the right thing and still have that person and what happened interrupt your thoughts on a daily basis and I know it is really hurting you, girls.

That’s where my client was. Logically she knew she’d done nothing wrong, yet every time they popped into her head she’d lose another chunk of her day to replaying it, and her nervous system didn’t care one bit what her logic said.

When we started working together what changed wasn’t her understanding of what happened, she already knew that, she could direct a Law&Order episode on it.

What changed was realising she didn’t have to go down a rabbit hole with every thought just because it showed up.

What’s different now? she gets to decide where her energy goes (and it’s not on them).

If there’s someone taking up space in your head that you never agreed to give them, DM me the word RADAR and I’ll send you everything you need to know about my workshop.

In my final year at University College Cork, a friend and I met a group of lads and two girls in An Brog, the best pub in Cork city at the time for poor students 🤣, and they invited us back to their house for drinks (of course we went, when you’re in college it’s always “where’s the party?”).

The minute I walked up to that front door, I knew something was off, but I didn’t listen straight away.

There was a guy sitting on the far right of the table with long dark hair and a loaf of bread from the Aldi bakery in front of him, talking about breaking bread and inviting people into your home, and something about his energy and his words made me instantly feel unsafe.

I turned and gave my friend that look (you know the one, let’s slowly make our way out of here), and we crept out of the kitchen with our hearts thumping in our chests, then bolted out the front door and ran down the Mardyke road as if we were being chased.

I’ll never forget it, girls. Have you ever been in that kinda situation? because I already knew at the front door, but I still went inside and it took another nudge from my watcher for me to actually listen and do something about it.

Are you brilliant at seeing things that most people don’t notice? Me too! Most women I’ve spoken to are, it’s our internal bullshit radar, we were just taught by the world around us to be polite and stay put. So I want you to imagine the next time you feel that “whoa,” whether it’s a kitchen, a bump into in the local shop or a WhatsApp message, say those three words to yourself: you already knew.

If you’re ready to start trusting that voice, DM me the word RADAR and I’ll send you everything you need to know about my workshop.

No lesson in this one girls because not everything has to be a teachable moment. Do you agree?

This is just me on a sideline, shouting like a pundit on Sky Sports and loving every minute of it while it lasts.

To every mam out there giving up her weekends for matches, training and lifts, I see the invisible effort you make.

Drop me a comment and tell me what your weekends look like right now.

I’m actually really good at painting a wall. Stay with me I know this is random but there’s method in my madness (one of my fav lines from Shakespeare’s hamlet)

Side note English teacher over here with a masters in literature 🤓

The line in my carousel about ‘being creative’ took me a minute to write, because saying you’re good at something out loud still feels a bit vulnerable , doesn’t it? Even when you really know it about yourself

Most of us grew up in a world where you didn’t say that kind of thing about yourself. You played it down, you said “ah sure, it’s grand,” and you waited for someone else to notice, so you could politely say thank you.

For years I’d have told you I wasn’t creative, when the proof was literally on every wall in my house.

So If you’ve been doing the same thing, never giving yourself credit for the thing you’re brilliant at, I get it, and there is nothing wrong with you. It’s an old neural pathway ( aka thought process) that was put onto you before you were old enough to question it.

Here’s your permission to say it anyway. What are you so good at that but you’ve never said it out loud?

Please share with me because I want to be the first to cheer you on.

I still laugh when I think about that car journey.

I had no idea what a life coach was. All I had was a room full of women who had left safe, pensionable jobs to do what they loved, and one thought I couldn’t shake: “oh, we’re allowed to do this.”

The thing is, most of us were never told we were allowed. We were told to be grateful for the safe job, keep the head down and don’t be getting notions.

It took my two best friends in the car and Wayne in bed with his coffee to say out loud what I already knew. “It absolutely is, Wayne.”

Maybe you’re sitting in your own version of that room right now, watching other women do the thing you’ve wanted for years and telling yourself it’s not for you. If that feeling won’t leave you alone, I’d pay attention to it.

If you’re ready to take your own leap, DM me TRUST and let’s talk.

I promise you you do not need to completely fall apart before you’ll allow yourself to do things differently to feel better xx

You don’t have to hate your life to know you want more from it, girls.

The thing is, you’re waiting for things to get really bad before you’ll give yourself permission to change it. When you look around, there’s so much to be grateful for that wanting more starts to feel a bit selfish, and there’s that old “don’t be getting notions” story again.

So many of us tell ourselves “ Im all good”, even though a part of you knows you’re sick of the way you’ve been living.

And I know nothing is technically “wrong”, which is exactly why you keep ignoring that niggly feeling that you need some help.

But the cost isn’t always everything falling apart, sometimes it’s another year of tolerating your own bullsh*t, ranting in the group chat, and finding ten very sensible reasons not to follow that intuitive pull.

After twenty years of teaching and coaching women, I can tell you the women on Zoom with me very rarely need me to tell them what they want. Inside I Call Bullsh*t, I teach them how to find that for themselves, because the real you has been there all along.

If you’ve been reading this thinking, “I know I need this, but maybe later,” I’d pay attention to that. DM me TRUST and let’s talk.
