“What comes first…. mental strength or physical strength?” @acoskun answer stuck with me: 👉 Use whatever’s strongest, your body or your mind, to help regulate the other. Whether that means going for a run to move through anger, or using your mind to gently push yourself off the couch, this clip breaks down the top-down vs bottom-up approach to healing, regulating, and performing. It’s not one or the other; it’s about understanding your system and working with it. This is the kind of nuance we all need more of. What if you stopped trying to be at 100% all the time? In this episode of The True Form Podcast, I sit down with @acoskun to talk about nervous system healing, the real work of yoga, and how to navigate life when you’re not at your best. We explore:
🧠 How your inner dialogue shapes your habits
💪 Whether you should train the body or mind first
🌱 Why your why matters more than your weight
🧘‍♂️ And how yoga, presence, and breath can be tools for deep healing This one goes beyond the surface. Link in bio to listen, watch, or read the blog recap. #trueform #podcast #yoga #breathwork

Choose your own WHY ❤️ Vahid and I were talking about motivation—and how so many of us start our health journey from a place of external pressure.
Your partner wants you to lose weight. Your family says you should look a certain way. Society tells you to get stronger, leaner, fitter. But if that “why” isn’t truly yours... it won’t stick. Vahid puts it perfectly:
You’re living the life you subconsciously believe you deserve.
And until that belief shifts, no amount of push-ups or diets will create lasting change. If you’ve ever struggled to stay consistent, this clip might explain why. #trueformn #motivation #mindsetshift #yoga #healthylifestyle #selfworth
