The best investment you can make in your health is supporting your body as a whole. A balanced diet, regular movement, restorative sleep, stress management, and time outdoors will always have a greater impact than relying on supplements alone.

Take care of your skin:
• Nutrient-dense diet | functional nutrition (common deficiencies include: vitamin D, omega-3s, zinc)
• Gut health-focused routine/lifestyle (healthy skin physiology begins within)
• Plant-based skincare with high standards—support gut-immune health by reducing chemical exposures when possible. Avoid harmful additives like parabens, phthalates/non-transparent fragrance, & synthetic retinoids
• Morning gua sha (face & neck) or massage to improve lymphatic system flow
• Mineral sunscreen & brim/bucket hats
• Weekly sauna to naturally detox the body & clear pores (if/when available)—check local gym for monthly rates

SM X @ITSGOODBACTERIA — THE REVOLUTIONARY SCIENCE OF ROTATING PROBIOTICS FOR YOUR MENTAL HEALTH:
If the gut is an ecosystem, then taking the same probiotic every day is like planting one species and expecting a thriving forest.

Good Bacteria is built on a more evolved idea: your microbiome isn’t static, and neither should your approach to supporting it.

Research shows your gut and brain are deeply connected through the gut–brain axis, influencing mood, stress, and even how you process emotions. Certain probiotic strains can help reduce symptoms of anxiety, depression, and negative mood, but the effects vary widely depending on the individual and the strains used. That variability is the insight.

Not all bacteria colonize the same way. Not all strains do the same thing. And not all nervous systems respond equally. Which is where rotation comes in.

Rotating probiotics introduces diversity: Instead of relying on a single strain, rotation exposes your gut to a wider spectrum of beneficial bacteria, helping build a more adaptable and resilient microbiome.

It mirrors how your body actually works: Your microbiome shifts with your diet, stress, environment, and hormones. A static supplement routine doesn’t reflect that.

It supports the mental side of gut health: Emerging research shows that multispecies probiotics and microbiome diversity are more closely tied to emotional regulation and mood stability than single-strain approaches.

It moves away from the “one pill fixes all” mindset: Mental health isn’t linear, and neither is the microbiome. Rotation acknowledges that.

Even outside of clinical settings, studies show probiotics can subtly improve daily mood and reduce negative emotional patterns over time, particularly when multiple strains are involved.
