- BOOK TOUR REVIEW - Vermilion Harvest: Playtime at the Bagh - Reenita M. Hora. I received an advanced review copy of this book, to review as part of a tour with Black Velvet Book Tours. This powerful love story takes place in Amritsar, India, in 1919. When I first started reading, there was something about the way the author set the scene which made me feel emotionally charged and drawn in. I found myself hanging on to every word. Very early in the story, I felt aware of the connection between Aruna and Ayaz. It was something that didn't seem to require any further thought or explanation, and that resonated with me. I felt their connection was more driven by their emotions than physical desires, but it had an intensity that couldn't be ignored. I found this both heartbreaking and beautiful to read. I cared about what happened to Aruna and Ayaz, and about the outcome of their situation, but there was more to consider than just them and their own feelings. When reading romance, I connect more deeply with some characters than others, and in this case, I invested quite heavily in the characters and their connection. This was actually a tearjerker for me, so if you're looking for a romantic read that you can connect with emotionally, I would recommend this. Thank you to Black Velvet Book Tours, and to the author and publisher, for the opportunity to read and review this. https://www.goodreads.com/review/show/6625240662 #vermilionharvest #reenitamhora #historicalromance #blackvelvetbooktours
