Elías Cepeda here. I began training in 1999 & coaching in 2013. This past Saturday I had the honor of (poorly) tying a black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu around the waist of someone for the first time in my career. I would not have had it be any one else than who it was, Professor @jelaninfinite . Jelani is not my student. I am his. We've gotten to be friends & comrades in revolution on the page, mat, & in the street the past six years & I'm constantly inspired by his technique, teaching, & leadership in equipping the darker peoples of the earth & our allies with the knowledge & confidence to fight back against oppression. The growing Liberation Jiu-Jitsu cohort of Professors all decided on this promotion together, & by strange fate of seniority (decrepitude) the overwhelming honor of handing Jelani his overdue black belt was bestowed upon me by the coalition. Prof. Jelani getting his due is a seismic event for the community. @thirdwardbjj hosted it & deserves credit for making it happen. Foundation Chicago will support this hero & his mighty team in any way they want, but make no mistake about it - Jelani Wilson is an @nmap.phl Black Belt. His career promoted him, & we merely bear witness to it in awe, committed to stand by him in battle until we're all free, & then in celebratory repose afterwards. He's been Him. Congratulations, & thank you Professor. #TeamJelani #NMAP #RevolutionarySelfDefense #WeGotGunsToo #BuildYourFoundation
