Thank you to @mattgeorgewigs for having me on his hair team at the @southbankcentre on Sunday for the You Are Here anniversary show, directed by Danny Boyle – a huge immersive production taking over the whole site to mark 75 years of British culture.

Such an incredible experience, a very fast-paced job getting everyone ready on time.
The timelapse video shows me creating a 1950’s up do in just 5 minutes.

After doing a workshop with one of my teachers I started thinking about what makes a workshop or a retreat so incredibly powerful. There are many reasons, but here are a few that resonate with me. A workshop is more than just an extended yoga class. Of course time is extended as it is not just your weekly yoga class. A workshop allows you to really delve deep into who you are - you on a physical, emotional and energetic level. A workshop is a a journey- a journey that allows you to discover, explore and connect with yourself in a group energy. A retreat is times a workshop. That same journey but with splits in the road with a supportive teacher and a merry band of travellers to help you navigate those moments where you are invited to make a decision. So is a workshop or a retreat worth the investment? I think it’s worth investing in myself. I NEED to invest in myself. It’s non negotiable.
Add on top amazing food, laughter, joy, support and being away from the daily grind for just a few days - it’s a no brainer!
Myself and @lucysladle have a weekend at the end of the year @claridgehouseretreats the first weekend of December.
Last year we had the most wonderful time in what I call our second home. The house that gives you a warm welcome hug when you walk in!
I decided to only do one retreat this year so I can really put all of my energy into the journey we will all be going on.

this year started off fairly uncontrollably, i was feeling very low in a bar job i despised, a very mouldy flat in tooting (the only light was my housemate barry!) and with a mum who was in and out of hospital fighting breast cancer. i wasn’t sure if releasing, gigging or even writing songs was on the cards for 2025 so i’m INCREDIBLY proud of what has come out of 2025!

this is a result of being surrounded by warm, supportive, creative people all year long (musial or not!) and without them this wee slideshow would not be possible 💓

i’m SO ready to hit the ground running (from tomorrow haha!) and pour my entire self into this next year - kissssses xxx

We had the most amazing weekend at @claridgehouseretreats. A small intimate retreat that allowed us to reset before the Christmas madness. We laughed, listened and shared to some wonderful life stories. Eat incredible nourishing food from @lucysladle. And all of us had some breakthrough and aha moments in our yoga practice. Thank you yogis for your care, support and generosity for one another! My cup is full. It’s an honour to spend this time together.
