We help organizations enhance their visibility, mobilize advocates, preserve reputations and change minds when it matters most.

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Today, we're releasing our 2026 State of the Sector report. Demand for health and human services in Franklin County is rising, and 61% of the 104 agencies we surveyed can't meet it.

Until now, agencies have adapted to less money and more need without losing sight of the people they serve, but adaptation has limits. Creativity and collaboration cannot replace real, sustained investment, and our region’s growth will only widen the gap between what’s needed and what’s available.

It is more apparent than ever that we require sustained, reliable funding streams to support our sector and the people we serve.

We do not have the luxury of waiting.

Earlier this month, Gov. DeWine announced that he would like to see the death penalty abolished in Ohio, saying he no longer believes it serves as a deterrent to murder. He called on the General Assembly to act, urging lawmakers to either pass legislation banning the death penalty or placing the issue before Ohio voters as a ballot measure.

In light of the governor’s announcement, this month’s Gongwer-Werth Legislative Opinion Poll asked Ohio lawmakers if they would vote to repeal the death penalty, if they would like the next governor to resume executions in Ohio and how they view capital punishment.

Headed to Atlanta to tell another great ‘Forever Family’ story for the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption.
Always good to see my past work well displayed. This is from the Advanced Drainage Systems groundbreaking last year. Currently I have more than half a dozen of my images displayed in the terminal at John Glenn International that I have captured for various clients [not including the WiFi login screen 🤗]. What story can I visually tell for you? (© James D. DeCamp | http://www.JamesDeCamp.com | 614-367-6366)

Change is in the air at Ohio's two major political parties, with Democrats looking for a new chair and Republicans looking to sort out what could be a contested gubernatorial primary.

This week’s Gongwer-Werth poll asked state legislators how they think the GOP governor's race will shake out, and what they think potential Democratic candidates will do in 2026. Also, we asked lawmakers whether they think a current legislator, a former lawmaker, or someone else will take control of the Ohio Democratic Party later this year.

The Ohio House passed its version of the 2026-27 state operating budget on April 9. Among other things, it contains provisions relating to property tax relief, funding for the Browns’ stadium, pay raises for some elected officials, and eligibility for the Governor’s Merit Scholarship.

With the Ohio Senate working on its own version of the budget bill, this week’s poll asked our state legislators what they think of the House’s provisions.

The results are in! This week’s Gongwer-Werth poll asked our state legislators what they think of Gov. DeWine’s budget proposals regarding K-12 education and higher education funding.

The Gongwer-Werth Legislative Opinion Poll is a recurring survey of the members of the General Assembly to gather data about how members view the legislative and policy issues they are facing. The poll is focused on gauging lawmakers’ overall opinions on issues of the day and is not intended to influence policy decisions or public sentiment.

Is there insight you're looking for? Head to the Gongwer-Werth Poll website to submit a question for consideration. Link in bio.
