My final thoughts as a candidate before the final day of voting -

This has been a long journey over six months, 29 counties, and an estimated 20,000 miles traveled. I still managed to work a full time job for 5 months of it and visited at least 4 towns a week. It was not easy on those who depend on me, but it is worth it. Nothing worth fighting for will come easy.

Politics is like an onion, there are several layers to the depth of it and each layer reveals more that the general public never sees. I would consider running for congress as only peeling one layer back. It has opened my eyes to several things... *To read the rest, find me on Facebook- Wesley Virdell for Congress - District 11*

In these days of political dynasties and distant elites, it sure is nice to have a candidate for Texas Congressional District 11 that is a true statesman. Wes Virdell is a pro-2A veteran, small town business owner, and family man who will stand up for our constitutional republic and fight for liberty against big government and the establishment. It isn’t radical to believe in the individual or that government should be as small as possible. Refreshing to visit with someone with the intestinal fortitude to speak the truth.

Let’s make this happen! The time is here to cast your vote to make change in Washington D.C. and America. We need a statesman, NOT a politician. Every vote counts.

The right way to wear a suit. Let’s not let the government take away our #2A rights.

I want to overturn Roe vs. Wade and Congress has the power to do so! #votevirdell

In 100 years from now, society will reflect back on our generation and be ashamed that we allowed 70,000,000 babies to be aborted! We must fight for the unborn and defend the innocent! Which side will you be on?

Thank you to the Llano County Republican Party and the Mason County Republican Party for hosting the congressional candidate forums today. Both counties did an excellent job.

Thank you to the voters who were able to attend or listened on the radio. It went really well and I feel that voters were able to get a clear perspective of the similarities and differences between each of us as candidates.

Campaigning as a working class guy with a full time job is not easy, but it is worth fighting for! #votevirdell

This picture was taken almost 15 years ago. Being a hard worker has been ingrained into who I am. My father and my grandfather and many hard working people have had a huge influence on my life.

I understand that life isn’t always easy. The challenges I have faced in my life have done nothing but propel me forward and made me a better person.

They say it’s a long-shot for a regular, working class guy to win this seat, but I am in it to win. I want to win for the regular people. I want to win for the people that don’t always get seen or heard, but have valid concerns and viewpoints. We can’t keep sending the same thing to Washington and expect different results. I am not afraid to stand up for what is right and will not bow down to the system.

This photo is a part of who I am and I am proud of it. I want my children to know that when times get hard, we stand up and fight for what is right.

We have had the honor of visiting the Pearl Harbor memorial and we have a family member that is currently serving in the Navy and his ship is in Pearl Harbor. It is a sobering sight to see the area where such a historic event happened. December 7th, 1941, is a day that will live in infamy. We remember those that were killed at the naval base on that day and honor those who served in WWII. Your sacrifice will not be forgotten.

The 2nd Amendment needs to be protected. We have people trying to bring ideas to the table like, ”banning people from shooting guns on certain days...” We have to be at these meetings to fight this nonsense! If we don’t take a stance, they will legislate our rights away. #votevirdell

The second amendment is a restriction on the federal government, it is not a restriction on me!
