🧡 @westcoastersbc

We love seeing Jill at the Crafted Farmhouse Market! Make sure you pop by her booth to say hello 👋

“WestCoasters BC started when we needed some items for our wedding. We made our own centrepieces and guest coasters with our tiny desktop laser, and they were such a hit, so we just kept going! Over the years our style has changed and evolved, along with our skill and attention to this business (including a much larger laser machine!). Adding 2 children along the way has slowed us down just a little, but they have also been an inspiration for many of our products. The beauty of the West Coast has also been our main source of inspiration, and we hope you feel our love of the coast through our work. ”

📍Mary Winspear Centre, 2243 Beacon Ave, Sidney , BC

A little recipe for Mother’s Day:
1 wooden spoon ❤️
1 child’s masterpiece 🎨
And one magical ingredient… Mom ✨

Happy Mother’s Day! 💐

Thanks goes to @westcoastersbc for turning the kid’s art into heart shaped memories. 💕

SPRING MARKET // March 28
@westcoastersbc

My name is Jill, and I am a wife, mother, sister, daughter, friend, teacher, and (apparently) a wood worker. Ask me even 5 years ago if I saw myself holding power tools and working with wood, I might have laughed at you. I didn’t grow up around them, but here we are, proof that you can learn new skills even when you’re “old”.
I went to university for eons, it felt like, and came out with a B.Sc and a B.Ed and most certainly thought that was the direction for my entire life. Don’t get me wrong, I love teaching, but life works in funny little ways, doesn’t it, and I made the scary decision to quit full time teaching and work on this business instead. It allowed me the flexibility to be more available to my two young children, and also give me some breathing space and time to destress after many years of feeling a little burnt out.
Let me tell you - I think I made the right decision. I LOVE working on this business, I love interacting with you all, and I love being creative. I love seeing your ideas, and how I can make them come to life. I surprise myself over and over, and pinch myself when I see a completed project. So thank you for supporting me, my dream, and my family..

Come see @westcoastersbc on:

Communi-TEA … let’s spill 🫖❤️🎄

Let’s be honest, being a small business takes strength, determination, but most importantly support of each other. 💜 And that’s what this tree is, a collaboration of different farms and stores that not only support me & my business, but keep me & Kisses to go, thriving.
So so beyond grateful to every store and every farm.
You will find most of their ornaments carefully crafted by @westcoastersbc on the tree ( more to come) 😍🥰❤️

Thank you to the @festivaloftreesvictoria & @thebaycentre for choosing my high vibrational local business
KISSES TO GO ARTISAN TEA CO to join in the fundraising for @bcchildrens hospital 💗

Growing up, our family has greatly benefited from the support and help of BC children’s hospital and @yanacomoxvalley when my youngest brother was born. They treated that boy like a celebrity, and he truly was and is humbly that, to this day.

Sometimes it can be difficult to slow down and act on gratitude. The world of quick quick quick lends an undeniable energetic component that if we aren’t careful, we can get swept away in. Last night I kept my head down mindfully with my family and thought of all the things that bring me such hope & love.

Me.
I’m grateful that I get up everyday with a drive to do better than yesterday.
Sending peace in these tricky times friends. What helps me?
Shop small, move slow, hold gratitude, be 🤍

The kids dove right in with these beautiful custom resources made by @westcoastersbc 🌲 I just had to give them their own spot on my page. Parent or educator, if you can dream it, Jill can create it. I think personalized playdoh squares are a perfect stocking stuffer 😉
