Hero’s bowl🔴🔵

The Sirens kicked off the season in the Hero’s Bowl. A match up between CMPD Hornets and the CFD inferno. Our law enforcement players formed the hornets and our fire dept players formed the inferno.

The Hornets took down the inferno 7-2. The fellas had a blast out on the field.

We look forward to the rest of 2026.

On the first post of tonight it's the washdown / pushdown ceremony of the new kannapolis engine 41!

At 4:30PM January 13TH KFD invited the public to hear the behind the scenes planning of this rig and many other festivities like washing the rig down with the firehose and ending things with the traditional push in ceremony!

Followed by cake and refreshments after.

This event was originally planned for November 21st of 2025 but because of a surprise mechanical issue it was pushed back to the 13TH of January 2026 thankfully resolved which is the reason the souvenirs dates are the way they are; there was not enough time order any new ones.

The washdown represents a christening of the rig which by both members and also for civilians who would like join!

Now the full dossier about engine 41 will be released hopefully next week!

But I'm so glad I could be a part of progress that day!

Coming up is some honorable mentions!

@wgkpsi gets all the credit with the fantastic photo.

I wanted to shout out one of the best players in the game (absolutely my personal opinion)

@mitchrobz is out there every damn shift putting in reps, refining the skills, and pushing for competency over complacency.

If you see these posts chances are you will see him busting ass at any of the local conferences and classes.

If you need a mentor this is the guy.
