POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

This past weekend, crews from the Robinson Vol. Fire Department, along with mutual aid assistance from the Mint Hill and Charlotte (NC) Fire Departments in Mecklenburg County, as well as departments from Cabarrus and Union Counties, battle a house fire in the Larkhaven neighborhood in eastern Mecklenburg County. The operation was hampered by a lack of hydrants in the community, requiring tanker shuttle operations.

For this weeks #stationsaturday we are in Iredell County (NC) for the Shepards Volunteer Fire Department Station 1 and the Mooresville Fire Department Station 4. Located at 2014 Charlotte Hwy, the station was built in 2007 by Shepards FD, who agreed to dedicate space to Mooresville who was looking to improve coverage in the growing northern section of the town. The departments now operate with an auto aid agreement.

I recently traveled to Italy and while most of my photos were of the incredible historical and cultural sites, it’s hard to avoid my “photographic roots”. Italy has several national police forces, in addition to local agencies. These are officers with the Polizia di Stato (State Police), which is one of the national police forces of Italy. They are a civilian force and is the main police force for providing police duties, primarily to cities and large towns.
