This is #simplicityk8384 dress in gorgeous viscose fans fabrics from @fabricgodmother (this fabric is from about 8 years ago)

I’m also wearing a rtw cardigan that has been beautifully embroidered for me by the amazing @rachaelknight80 😘 featuring a tape measure and scissors ✂️ on one side and hand knitting🧶 on the other side.

And I also made my shoes! I’m in the process of making another pair for this summer.

This week, we hosted a Fabric Godmother team sewing day, and it was such a treat! Everyone joined in, bringing along their own projects. Our team is a wonderful mix of sewists, from seasoned pros to absolute beginners, and it was brilliant to see everyone sharing tips, cheering each other on, and celebrating little sewing wins together. The studio was buzzing with creativity, laughter, and plenty of cups of tea. It was a lovely, relaxed day where we could all unwind, work side by side, and help each other finish those projects that have been waiting for a little extra encouragement.

We had such a blast at our latest team sewing day, making the new Fabric Godmother pattern, the Lisi Dress and Blouse. It was awesome to see everyone’s unique style and how each fabric choice made the pattern totally their own!
Whether you’re into casual blouses with jeans or dressing up for a special occasion, the Lisi pattern really does it all. We’re all already dreaming up our next versions!

If I'm being honest, I was nervous about going to @thestitchfestival this year. I was afraid of how people might treat me and how upset I might get about my place in the sewing community now I've lost my job at Simplicity, starting over.

Instead the love and kindness everyone showed me was incredible and made it the best year yet. I didn't get photos with everyone I spoke to, but know that if you spent time chatting with me it meant a lot ❤️❤️❤️

Big news, sewing peeps - Emporia is coming to the Stitch Festival this March! 🔈🔈🔈

That's right gang, Clair will be bringing the Emporia joy back to Islington this spring once more - ready for all the sewing chat, the lols, the silliness, and to see all of YOU, our favourite sewing people.

You can find her on stand G31 with a whole host of paper patterns which are making a special return for the show. Not only that but Valentina will be making her debut in paper form too. Whoop whoop! 💃

Clair will be manning the stand solo this year but doubtless there will be a special guest or three on hand at points over the weekend, just waiting to help you with your sewing queries. Which sewing celebs do you think you'll spot?
