Career-wise, this year was incredibly difficult and full of learnings but also incredibly wonderful and full of achievements. At the beginning of 2024, I set 3 main goals for my photography career, and with a lot of perseverance, creativity, and help from my incredible community, I can say I accomplished them.

Goal 1 was to pitch, produce, and shoot at least one full-scale campaign on my own. I spent the greater part of the beginning of 2024 making this one happen, and it culminated in the @traveler_surf_club Summer Road Trip Campaign (slides 1-12). Huge thank you to @julie___cox and @silverliningbespoke for believing in my vision on this one, and to @jenaylpeters @danielleblacklyons and @naomimarika for coming along for the ride. This campaign was also made possible by @carvedesigns @theseea @sunski @mandosurfco @publicbikes @luno.life @dunesuncare @moterra @caminito.co @surfoutpost & @thatch.travel - thank you all for being a part of it 💙

Goal 2 was to get my work published. Huge thank you to @longboarder.magazine and @christhomson_tr7 for publishing my story about the @traveler_surf_club road trip (slides 13-14) You made this happen 🫶

Goal 3 was to have my work shown in a gallery. As a last minute perk to 2024, @indoek included my piece “Dive Lunch” in their exhibit “Sonder” which is still up through sometime in January. Huge thank you to @mtitone and @rachel_cano for making this one happen.

Lots of other awesome projects also made this year incredible, but actually having completed the goals I started at the beginning of the year makes me really excited for what’s to come in 2025 ✨ again, huge thank you all who made everything this year happen. You mean the world to me.

Dunkle Wolken, ordentlich Wind auf der Nordsee und dazwischen dieser eine Moment, in dem sich die Sonne durchkämpft und einen Regenbogen über den Weststrand zaubert. Genau für solche Augenblicke lohnt es sich, früh aufzustehen. Einfach am Strand stehen, die raue Nordsee beobachten und kurz alles um sich herum vergessen.

Bei solchen Bedingungen sind meine Filter von Kase Filters mit dabei. Der Kase ARMOUR CPL hilft mir, Reflexionen zu reduzieren und die Strukturen im Wasser herauszuarbeiten. Mit dem 0.9 Verlaufsfilter bekomme ich den hellen Himmel und die dunkleren Bereiche im Vordergrund besser in den Griff, ohne dass die Stimmung verloren geht.

It stared with a wide shot of the kingfisher diving off a branch, then I cropped 90% of the photo so I just had the diving bird, now I’ve blown it up to 70cm tall. Wow sensors and software have come a long way in the last few years. #canon #canonr5markⅱ #topazlabs #lightroom #kingfisher

Mit Murmures de l’âme erkundet Marie Sueur das Unsichtbare. Durch Stickerei und Überlagerungen entstehen poetische Bildwelten zwischen Erinnerung, Traum und Unbewusstem.

Für ihre Serie wurde die französische Fotografin mit dem NEW TALENT AWARD 26/1 von Canon und ProfiFoto in Kooperation mit WhiteWall und Hahnemühle ausgezeichnet.

It's been quiet here... 👀

Not gone. Just heads-down on something different and exciting!

While the usual feed of families running to the beach has been on a little pause, I've been working on something behind the scenes.

A couple asked me to photograph their finished renovation. I said yes before I'd really thought about what that meant for someone used to photographing four-year-olds who refuse to sit still.

Turns out, it's not that different.
Same eye. Same attention to the small things nobody else would think to notice.

And somewhere in the middle of it, I accidentally made them a book.

Because some projects deserve more than just a gallery link.

Next up… my own renovation project documentation. But we all know what it’s like with our own projects… they always have to wait! But it will be worth it! 😉

Closing soon: “Tell Me What To See” by Carola Lampe.

In this long-term project, the Berlin-based artist explores the relationship between technology and the humans who shape it. Working at the intersection of photography and new media, she questions how new technologies are changing artistic creation and the way we see the world.

Watch the full video work in person at the exhibition before it closes soon.

The exhibition was realized in partnership with IFA Berlin and Volkswagen R, and produced in friendly cooperation with our photography print partner WhiteWall.
