A little bit of my #slowstitching2026 scroll that I worked on yesterday. I used three of my favorite tiny beaded blue buttons which I’ve been saving for years 💙

I have to keep reminding myself that this is a long journey and that the small sections of stitching I produce everyday are completely acceptable.

I’m my rush to complete a section yesterday I punctured my fingertip and had to put down my scroll because I didn’t want blood on my beautiful blue fabrics 😂 I’ve included a shot of the back because that looks pretty cool too!

Today has been a better day - #slowstitching2026 while listening to Finding Your Roots on @cascadepbs

I haven’t made French knots in a very long time and these little dots show my rusty skills!! Hopefully by the end of the year I will have better feel for this #slowstitching2026 thing 😂

These are the first stitches in my #slowstitching2026 project made last night. I am really going to learn a lot about being “slow” this year. Not to be driven by the concepts of perfection and completion. One stitch at a time!

I spent the weekend laying more foundational work for my #slowstitching2026 project. I’m making a color study with a different color for each month.

This portion is the first four months - blue, blue/green, green and yellow. Because my mind doesn’t work in a spontaneous, free way I have to plan ahead.

This was the easy part - today I’m going to start stitching. Wish me luck, @whymsicallotus 😊

Laying the foundation for my #slowstitch project for 2026. This will be a year long project - something to pickup when I want to be creative in small ways. I’ve been binging on YouTube and o impressed with the variety of international slow stitchers. Thanks to @whymsicallotus for giving the push I needed to try something new 🩷
