I can’t remember the last time I wrote haiku.

My favorite form of poetry.

These past few days, the poems flowed…

My family is struggling right now, trying to deal with something that started out a medical issue (brain tumor), but is now including mental issues.

Docs can’t give us a diagnosis, and tell us “we already know she has brain damage”. They just prescribe more meds… which almost killed her in July.

She continues to decline cognitively, and we feel so helpless!

Since everyone else has to work, she and I deal with this situation as best we can.

This is just a glimpse of what we go through daily.

Two sides down, and two to go! Then, I can bind the edges!

I was a little worried that the flower wasn’t looking right, but after quilting, a big sigh of relief! 😁

Yay!
I finished the quilt top, and I basted my quilt together!
Sorry I didn’t show the completed top, but it was done last night, and I wanted to baste the quilt together before I went to bed. ❤️

After a short illness, praise God! I got to work on the baby quilt again! If you look close, you’ll see that I removed the basting stitches on the parts that are sewn. It gives me an idea how much I have left.
I’m almost halfway with the design. 😁

I’m dealing with some vicious self-criticism right now, but I’m charging through!

A quick progress shot of the baby quilt. I believe you can see the gecko clearly now?

Yes, I’m still alive. 🤣

I got a call yesterday, asking if I would make a baby-sized Hawaiian quilt for someone.

No problem! ❤️

Designed, cut, and I’m now basting to the background. I have three months to get this done!
