Three words. That's a Dad.
Dr. Wid Kattan — psychiatrist and author of So Many Hats — described this moment from the Prophet's life and said what needed to be said in three words. The standing up. The forehead kiss. The giving of the seat. That is the whole model.

The parenting insight that stopped me.
Dr. Wid Kattan — psychiatrist and Islamic psychologist — said this about God image and children in our conversation. I've been sitting with it since. You cannot give beyond your own ceiling. The work is yours first.

The origin story I didn't see coming.
Dr. Wid Kattan — psychiatrist and author of So Many Hats — described what led her to study Islamic psychology at Cambridge Muslim College. Seven weeks on call. Burnout. And a door she didn't expect to walk through.

The reframe that changes how you think about self-care entirely.
Dr. Wid Kattan — psychiatrist and author of So Many Hats — introduced the concept of amana in this conversation and I genuinely had not thought about it this way before. Your children are a trust. But so are you. And you come first.

The emotion mothers are drowning in — and the one they actually need.
Dr. Wid Kattan — psychiatrist and author of So Many Hats — made a distinction in this conversation that I haven't been able to stop thinking about. Guilt and shame are not the same thing. And most of us are carrying the wrong one.
