My fourth baby and third home birth- it was what would be considered a “quick” birth overall but hands down one of my hardest. The mental surrender birth requires of us is necessary every single time we do it and what it means to surrender may look different each and every time.

Sunday’s birth was overall around 3.5 hours with active labor beginning just before 5pm and her being born at 8:16pm.

I cannot truly express the difference it made in having such incredible women surrounding me and supporting me through her birth- they (and my amazing husband) carried me through what felt like a very challenging birth.

And there is nowhere else I would have rather been than right at home.

Here’s your sign that you can do hard things, you can birth your babies at home, and being in YOUR safe space with the people you’ve chosen is more important than trying to create any aesthetic or perfectly perceived experience ;)

We are a group combined of providers, birth workers, mothers, and members of this community who love serving women and families in a holistic and whole hearted way — the way in which God designed. We have come together to serve the community and to grow together collectively, as a village of women for women.

We had so much fun at our mothers circle this morning! We did a baby-wearing circle where we had different carriers for all the mama’s to try on, get adjusted correctly, and answered any and all questions about baby wearing. And as always, had wonderful conversations and connection with one another. Thank you to everyone who came out! We are looking forward to next months circle 🌸

Our March mother’s circle was so sweet and we are so grateful for each and every mother that came. Our hope is that you come as you are, and find connection and community wherever you are at in your motherhood journey.

So many of us start our journey of motherhood without a village and unsure of where to find it — and we hope that these circles can be a space for you to find just that.

As a collective, we are honored to walk this journey with you and bring you encouragement, the resources you need, and overall, a sense of community.

This month was so fun, looking forward to next month already! We will be doing a baby wearing circle and will have all different kinds of baby carriers to try on and learn how to wear and use. We hope to see you there 🤍

I’m so excited to share an upcoming opportunity with you! 🤭 Local Auburn photographer @wildandthrivebirth is doing Motherhood Minis next month and is offering a special discount to the mamas in our community!! Kelci took photos of my daughter and I over the summer and they are something I’ll treasure forever. This is the perfect opportunity to get some motherhood memories captured 📸🤍

Kelci shares how after her second birth she realized she isn’t for everyone and how that clarity shaped the way she shows up in birth work.

As a birth worker, I’ve often found it hard to claim a niche or a strong stance. My heart has always been to stay open, to meet families where they are, and to walk alongside anyone who needs support on this journey. That hasn’t changed.

But I deeply respect how Kelci has leaned into what she knows to be true in her heart. There’s something incredibly brave about building a community around your convictions and the women who find her are landing exactly where they’re meant to be.
