POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
@losaeter grows on the hillside above the motorway encircling Oslo, perched above the tunnel. It is a place abundant with humans and plants, where a wooden greenhouse shelters a wood-fired oven, tandoor and flatbread firepit.
Rebecca from @wilderkitchen invited me for a fire cooking workshop during @okouka_oslo_
We improvised a menu around the plants and herbs growing at the urban farm, co-created with fire, the elements and the participants.

Leaves, flowers, roots, seeds and herbs - grilled over the fire, buried in embers, baked, steamed and folded into flatbreads by many hands. The landscape, season, materials and fire shaped what ended up on the table.

The garden shades towards winter and soaks up all the light from the Oslo fjord just below - and the stories and recipes we shared will keep lingering among the last runner beans & guasca bushes 🌿

F*ck Around & Find Out - August Edition. My ongoing experiment in seeing what happens when I say yes more, show up, try new things and actually participate in my life in Oslo.

August was a pretty good argument for continuing the experiment. We dressed up for a day party by @detgodeselskab_records in Oslo and danced until sunset. We got into tiny boats and floated down the river with @grlshred_and watched some of Oslo’s coolest people build a skate ramp by the Munch museum and literally skateboard into the sea thanks to @torshovbarclub. We spent an evening eating incredible plant-based food by @wilderkitchen at the lovely community garden @losaeter , surrounded by people creating the kind of local community I want more of.

And on top of all of that, I took a bigger risk: I started pitching Wildcard Society events to some of my dream event spaces in Oslo. And they said yes. 🥹

Turns out there are SO many things to do in Oslo, interesting people to meet, communities to discover and experiences to stumble into when you stop waiting for the perfect plan and start putting yourself in the way of life.

So this is your reminder to go to the event, try the weird hobby, show up alone, send the message, meet new people and say yes to something you’ve never done before.

Let’s f*ck around and find out what September has for us. ♠️

September is giving “summer is over but I refuse to accept it.”

So here’s What’s On the Cards: September Edition
my monthly collection of things actually worth leaving the house for in Oslo. Exhibitions, parties, markets, music, creative events and little adventures to make your weekdays significantly less weekday-ish.

There are SO many things to do in Oslo, you just need to know where to look. ✨

Save this for your September plans in Oslo, send it to your most easily convinced friend, and tell me: what are we going to?

a very, very wholesome week in northern norway!!! ❤️ one of my favorite books is called “ikigai”, which is a japanese concept that translates to “a reason for being”. aka your biggest motivation to get out of bed every morning. and i think this is mine, at least one of them. creating a community of like-minded people who connect on a deeper level. cool girls from all over the world who live completely different lives, but share the same values and interests. i got 16 new friendships this week, and i feel incredibly lucky to be able to call this work and show off my backyard when it looks like this. our very first summer of @mooretreat is done, and i’m so beyond excited to do this again and again. in a world where we’re “chronically online” it feels amazing to spend a full week reminding both myself and others what life is all about. how good it feels to be outdoors, move our bodies, breathe fresh air, nourish ourselves and just be :) so, so thankful <3
