Now I'm back from Phillip Island I have had time to sit back and reflect on one of the greatest experiences I have had.

Ticked a bucket list item off the list and took the drive over to @wildfirecraftbbq

What an amazing experience this was. From the moment you walked in you are transported to a place that is all about great service, great vibes and the perfect food.

Casey and the team are nothing short of amazing. I will be dreaming of the brisket and that corn bread untill I can make it back. Not to say that the rest of the food wasn't perfect but the brisket and corn bread are out of this world.

Thanks again for the great hospitality and the chat was great to meet you all.

With the sun out and barely any wind, it’s a beautiful day!! ☀️

We ventured out to Newcomb for Wildfire Craft BBQ’s potato salad because in my opinion, they’re one of the very few places in Geelong that make an excellent one! And with today’s gorgeous, warm weather, it’s the perfect day to enjoy a nice, cold potato salad!

However, after speaking to KC and finding out that it’s not on their menu at the moment (😫), I decided to try their corn elote to go with my pork baby back ribs. I’m glad I did because it was absolutely delicious! Crunchy corn with just the right amount of sauce. 👌

Been a hot minute since I actually postered a meal 😅
Getting back to it on the reg now - leading in with my all time favourite Wildfire Craft BBQ.
On the Specials board the delicious Pork Ribs - always gotta try what they churning out and these do not disappoint, absolutely delicious 🥰
Side of Pork Tacos - light and fresh for this beautiful Spring day ! AND the absolute staple of the 3 Meat Pack - best bang for ur buck and great chance to try a bit of everything !!
Cinnamon Scroll - Devine !! (Went back for more to share with the household 😜🤫)
Am yet to try the Rice Krispeeeee treat - the previous tucker still has me full to the brim 😅😜
Plenty of time to get in for Dinner tonight or nip oh for Lunch tomorrow ! 🤘😎🤘

Well @grampiansbbqfestival is now done and won. Saturday gave some serious #weather I mean seriously rained! Thanks to my darling wife @sallylee7767 for booking a great Airbnb just around the corner to recover from the drive and a bit of sleep on Saturday evening! Congrats to the winners of the @steakcookoffs #australia we had a tenth and 9th in steak and huge thanks to my cuz Regan and his lady @chrissie_1401 for some awesome help with Ancillary desert section with our smoked apple tea cake poison looking mushrooms in choc dirt, sugar glass leave, edible moss and gold flake, the top of the mushrooms where strawberry fondant with tutti fruity popping candy and finished fifth, however the greatest result both Saturday categories meant we got golden tickets to be able to go to the SCA in Dallas Texas for both!!! Yeah boy!!! Of to the states @yodersmokers and @oakridgebbq were coming team sponsors!!!
Then Sunday our on the Ground Team @ggadzinski77 & his son my second cousin Alex wearing @laraqualitymeats to promote and helped at every stage. In the end 8th in lamb @saltbushbillywiltshire an Albury farmer we have had support from for many years 8th #pork @laraqualitymeats & @charcharcharbutchers & 9th in #porkribs @laraqualitymeats & #brisket @wildfirecraftbbq for letting me practice & @laraqualitymeats for the supply of the awesome Makka’s 4+ Waygu grass fed beef briskets that were damn good product all of it! Please support your local butchers and farmers touch base with the links as small teams like mine couldn’t do it without you a team finish of 9th against the best competition in the business congrats to @bigsmoke_bbq on the grand champion & @dusty__que for the RGC and it was great to see the other teams too given it’s been our first back for a while! We had a blast and thanks to the organisers @grampiansbbqfestival the event despite the weather was awesome!! Including some of the awesome displays with even my @proqsmokersaustralia being used for the crowd to see what they can do!! So all in all Thank-you to all as i do what I enjoy doing!!! Finally made my way out to @pasion_bbq !!

When I found out @wildfirecraftbbq was joining for a pop-up, you already know I had to make the trip over.

Had an awesome time with the fellas, ate some damn good BBQ, and got to hang with some great people. Moments like this are a good reminder of why I love this BBQ community so much. It’s way bigger than just the food. 🤘

Always good food, good smoke, and even better people.
