We first landed in Perth in January 2024 with empty pockets and no real plan. It was a spontaneous move from Sydney to a city we’d not really heard much about so we really didn’t know what to expect from WA. 🏜️

The first few months were hard and pretty lonely. And it just goes to show that sometimes, when you’re waiting for something to change, you are the one who has to give it a chance first. When we finally did, the universe gave back. 🙏🏻

When we came back in October that year after visiting home, we promised ourselves we’d do it differently this time. This is when we attended our first @cold_nips event — the 100th dip in Scarborough & then a @perthsisterhoodsociety meet up and it changed everything. We realised that when you put yourself out there and show up unapologetically as yourself, you find people who see you, uplift you and believe in you. 🥹

This year has been full of growth, community events, new connections and trying things we never thought we’d have the confidence to do. Moments that cost little but gave so much to our mental and physical health. We learnt that alignment exists in unexpected places and that growth doesn’t have to be loud, but sometimes brave. ❤️‍🩹

Now we leave to chase another long-time dream: the lap of Australia. Leaving is hard, but one of the biggest lessons Perth taught us is that sometimes you have to leave what becomes comfortable to grow even further.🤝🏼

Perth, thank you - for the people, the lessons, and the version of ourselves we found here. We’ll be back 🤍

(Couldn’t tag everyone but you know who you are)

Some of my highlights to 2025- a year of adventure and exploration. There were also plenty of lessons learnt, lots of change but these are all catalysts for growth.

I’ve made the most beautiful connections and new friendships over the past year. Thanks to everyone that made it special in some way 🙏🏼

A glimpse from the series 1883 into a time where many humans were wilder, freer, happier, healthier & more present than we are today ✨ A lifestyle with an abundance of these things that fully leverages all the new wonders of our society today, is what we’re helping people create through Eudysia & enjoy through Wild Ones activities like hiking, surfing & travel! 👩🏼‍🤝‍👨🏽🌈💗

This is one of Perth’s best waterfalls after months of torrential rain. It’s only a 20km drive from Perth CBD and a short hike to the top!

Witnessing the sheer power of the falling water at the base was so incredible but also slippery so care is definitely required!

Save this for your next winter adventure! 🥾 💦
