Would you believe me if I told you this was a restaurant? Probably nooooot. But it is! And there are so many reasons why that made this microwedding so stunning (and FUN!)

Here are some benefits of a restaurant buy-out:

Venue and catering DONE:

One conversation for venue and catering, and you're done. No separate caterer trying to coordinate with a separate venue. Food that you know is good already (thank god!)

No rental scramble:

Tables, chairs, plates, all of it already exists in the space. Nobody's renting a truck or coordinating a drop-off time with three different companies unless you have a favorite table decorator in mind

The ambiance is already there:

Someone already spent years getting the lighting, the layout, and the whole feel of the venue right. You're not building a vibe from scratch, you're just walking into one.

Restaurants know how to host people well, they do that every single night (literally). Might as well let them do it for yours too!

NOBODY is sitting quietly through dinner here! A little karaoke moment obv was the move for this couple - who are some of the most fun people ever!!

Tulum has the jungle, an open-air reception, and (my personal favorite) lots of kitties running around. This sets the scene for the best intimate microwedding reception (intimate in size, but not in vibes!)

Moments like this happen when you're not stressed about the timeline because it was handled for you.

🌴🌊 September has always felt like a second New Year to me… a time to pause, reflect, reset, and make space for new beginnings. ✨

This trip felt therapeutic in so many ways. Deep rest, salty water, good food, and all the jungly vibes. Water is my happy place.

Grateful for the sweet moments and for experiencing all the adventures with you, both big and small. 💛@shaunpaulhartman #loveintulum #tulumgetaway

Our third and final Michelin recognized restaurant this week was WILD. And it really lived up to its name. We both agreed this was our favorite of all the restaurants we ate at this week. (see last slide for each dish description in order, including the one that was given an option since we each got one) picking a favorite feels almost impossible for me, I think I am probably tied between the Huitlacoche Ravioli or the Baja California Prawns. Both were very flavorful and melted into your mouth with the perfect blend of spice and savory. Jon’s favorite dish was also a tied between two, the Huitlacoche Ravioli and the grilled octopus. He said the ravioli was unlike anything he had had before, and he loved the way that the chili sauce worked with the grilled octopus. We also got the drink pairing with the tasting menu and feel as if it really amplified our experience. Overall, this restaurant was phenomenal and deserves a Michelin star for sure.

Wedding tip

Switching into a second outfit for the dance floor is one of the best decisions a couple can make. Trading the wedding gown for a shorter, lighter dress and the groom's suit jacket for something more relaxed lets you actually enjoy your first dance and the party that follows, worry-free.
It's not about loving your ceremony look any less, it's about giving yourselves the freedom to dance, laugh, and move all night long. Comfort is the secret ingredient to the best wedding photos.
