We were enjoying a really beautiful sunset on the Hudson Bay with a momma polar bear and her two cubs. @wpotrebka_photography called out that a Short-eared Owl was incoming and thanks to that head's up, we were able to get a few shots as it cruised by. Pretty cool that this was a first time sighting of this species for a few people in our group.

Ahhh Monday...here you are again. The weekend flies by too fast, doesn't it? This cub was super curious and put on quite a show for our group. He earned the nickname Curious George for wanting to come closer to investigate. While his sibling stayed close to momma, he was always seen wandering a distance from her. Hopefully that doesn't land him in trouble.

There’s something extra special about hearing what a trip meant to the people who were actually there. ❤️
Churchill is one of those places that stays with you — the polar bears, the vast northern landscape, the people you meet along the way, and all those little moments you didn’t know would become part of the adventure.
For us, a great photography tour has never been just about coming home with beautiful images. It’s about the entire experience: great local guides, a supportive group, time in the field, plenty of laughter, and memories that last long after the cameras are packed away.
Thank you, Diana and Ronda, for trusting us with such a special bucket-list adventure. We’re so glad Churchill lived up to the dream. 🐻‍❄️📷

I’ve never been to Katmai. It’s lucky for me that I have wonderful friends who share their photos and experiences of this magical place. A place where bears roam amongst humans unconcerned and just living their best bear lives. The references for this painting are from Jen Fogle who is one of the very best bear photographers out there.

It has been a while! My time in the studio has been hijacked by the work involved in trying to sell our house. I'm trying to channel this bear's resolve as I clean and cull, my eye on the prize of a fresh start in a new home. Almost there! Many thanks to Joshua Gesmundo @wildwatchtower for generously allowing me to use his photo as my reference.
