Fortitude.
-
Possibly the sharpest fishing bear from the last month. This little lady was proving to everyone that it wasn’t her first rodeo. Over and over again, she caught trophy sockeye, while other bears sat and watched in disillusion. She unbelievably accomplished all of this with a severe limp. Just an incredible show of fortitude.

Still finding photos buried on SD cards I forgot I even took. Enjoy this photo of a Dall sheep up in the high stuff on a bed of peak fall foliage. The colors were so intense when this photo was taken back in 2024. Can’t wait to get back up there.

Timed the colors perfect a few years ago and boy did it pay off. One of the trippiest landscapes I’ve ever seen. Also, shortly after this photo was taken I got engaged to the love of my life.

Curiosity.

One of the more memorable moments from our last @focusphototours tour, with @tlsepkovic and our fantastic guests. It was interesting how curious this young polar bear was in our group and what we were doing. All of us sitting there, staring at him completely fascinated. While he sat there feeling exactly the same way. Without a doubt a moment I will never forget.

A Dall Sheep out in the High stuff in Alaska. I was looking through some old photos the other day and found this shot, with a distant mountain peak in the background. The landscape these mountaineers call home is just raw and beautiful. No place I’d rather be.
