Last Wednesday, we got to do something that felt really special to us 🥺

Over the past few months, so many of you have supported this little banhmi shop in ways we never expected. It got us thinking... if we’ve been lucky enough to receive so much kindness, why not pass a little of it on?

What an honour to partner with @will2live_charity and packed up some food supporting those in need in our community. It’s not a huge gesture, but it just felt like the right thing to do 🤍

We know a good meal can mean more than just food, and we’re really grateful we had the chance to share a few with the community.

Thank you for being part of LEYRD. Without your support, little moments like this wouldn’t have happened.

Studying abroad is about more than just the classroom, it’s about the community we join.

Thank you to everyone who came to a gig over the last two months for showing up for people who are being disproportionately afflicted by the housing crisis. The To Survive Tour raised $55,000 for 15 grassroots housing support organisations working around the country against rapidly increasing demand. Australia is a ridiculously rich country and to have so many people suffering, and to see so little meaningful action to ease that suffering from the people who have the power to do so, is unforgivable.

But the amazing people I met and stories of resilience and kindness I heard during this last six weeks have been the counterweight to my growing anger about the lack of government action.

We need to pressure the people we elected to do more.

Thank you for your wild support, Newcastle + Sydney. It felt so good to play for you and the way you showed up for @soulhubnewcastle and @will2live_charity was incredible. To the crew at the @stagandhunter, thank you for matching punter donations. Huge. And to the one and only Benjamin Quinn Esq who MCd for us on Friday. No one else could have done it like that.

We’re about to tick over $50,000 raised for grassroots homelessness support organisations around the country. There is so much good will out there. And in this season of excess it feels right that we can all give something back. A little bit goes a long way.
