These two legends come along with their dad as part of a school volunteering project through the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award (DofE), and we absolutely love seeing the next generation showing up for their community.

They’re learning that giving back isn’t just about what you can give. It’s about showing up, meeting people, sharing a meal and being part of something bigger than yourself.

You may recognise him from Heartbreak High and plenty of other shows and films you love, our very own @_tomwilson1 has been coming down to Will2Live to give back to the community, and honestly… we rate that. 🖤

One of our community members instantly recognised him and to say she was STOKED would be an understatement…

So naturally, there was only one thing to do… request an autograph. ✍️

It’s moments like this that remind us why we do what we do. Different stories, different lives, but all sharing the same space, the same meal and a little bit of joy together.

For us, it’s always been about more than a meal. It’s about community, connection and making sure people feel welcomed, seen and cared for.

But if we’re serving food, we’re going to make sure it’s good food.

We work hard to provide meals that are balanced, nourishing and packed with the nutrients our bodies need, because good nutrition matters. It gives us energy, supports our health and helps us feel our best.

And for some of the people we meet, this may be their only meal of the day.

So we don’t just fill a plate. We make every meal count.

Every Friday, we show up. ❤️

Each week, Will2Live delivers 80–100kg of food and 40 loaves of bread to the community room at Waterloo Towers, providing lunch for around 150 people in the community.

But what we do is about so much more than food.

Behind the scenes, there’s always something happening, helping where we can, connecting people with support, listening, checking in and doing whatever is needed to make someone’s day a little easier.

Because real community is about showing up, not just when it’s easy, but whenever we can.

It takes a village, and we’re so lucky to have one. 🫶

Meet Kelly 💙

Since 2017, Kelly has been showing up for our community week after week.

She has donated almost 500 hours of her time. That’s nearly 21 full days dedicated to helping others.

Behind every meal served is someone choosing to spend their time making sure another person feels seen, supported and cared for.

Meet Yats, our designated Wednesday BBQ legend. ❤️

For nearly three years, Yats has been showing up week after week, helping serve our community. That’s around 234 hours of volunteering — but who’s counting?

What we love most is hearing how much being part of Will2Live means to him. It’s a reminder that volunteering isn’t just about what you give, it’s also about what you gain.

Will started Will2Live with a simple belief: everyone deserves a hot meal, a friendly face, and to be treated with dignity.

What began as one person wanting to make a difference has grown into a community of volunteers, donors, and supporters who continue to carry that vision forward every week.

Will is still very much the heartbeat of all this, spending five days a week driving around collecting food and donations, dropping off meals to community hubs, and hosting the feed. There’s so much that happens behind the scenes, with Will constantly pushing for change and doing the work to make sure this service is provided for as long as there is a need.

When we gather around the BBQ, serve a meal, share a conversation, or simply show up, we’re continuing the legacy that Will built — one founded on kindness, connection, and the understanding that even the smallest act of compassion can change someone’s day.
