Going down memory lane looking at videos from @elismilehighclub — alternating clips from Luxury Skin’s 2024 show on tour and The Classical’s farewell show back in 2017 when I still lived in Oakland. Such an incredible, fun, exciting venue. So many big plans were hatched on that patio, so many wild displays witnessed, so many ill-advised but spiritually correct makeout sessions…hope to be back on that patio again someday! Support their gofundme if you can. Long live #elismilehighclub

hi friends :") happy spring 🌸💗🌊 it gives me life to announce some exciting returnings to the stage this month and next:

1) honored to be playing one of my all-time dream venues, @parkavearmory with @joy_guidry for her 2-night Artists Studio residency, the very same one that Sakamoto did in 2017 premiering "async," one of the most influential albums on my life & musical thought/aspirations. still pinching myself... both shows will be at 7:30 p.m. June 3rd & 4th. "we invite you to enjoy this show with minimal to no phone use. please come travel with us from prayer to prayer."

2) first solo show in a while alongside @kirinmcelwain @will___hayes next week May 11th! going to be a beautiful show all around! i'm so excited to be playing again and hope to be doing some new osmose/violin work from the past few months of chrysalis

3) @warpduo RETURNS TO THE STAGE!!! also at @sleepwalk.nyc on May 17th, reuniting with @levi.lu1 for the @artifact.sound.series alongside a stacked bill featuring:
Reona – @reona_tapdance_metalperc
Chuck Bettis – @elder_totem
Jake Meginsky – @jakemessinameginsky
Lemuel Marc – @lemuel__marc

4) playing solo may 21st at @brotherswashanddry fundraising for families affected by ICE. this one will be a tender one, with @oh.iiisa & @mrryaneaster ! hope you can make it 💗

ticket links in my bio! excited to see folks again this spring in these shows/giant reunions :")

— Yuka Honda at Public Records (video by Derrick Belcham) w/ Dream Crease
— Nabihah Iqbal at Nightclub 101

June tour is over and I couldn’t have done it without my brother and fellow road warrior Vildava joining me for its entirety. I wish all of you the ability to play live music for tens of people for tens of minutes for tens of years however occassionally you see fit. stop trying to get a million streams and start by trying to connect with a single individual who enjoys your work on a deeply personal level. every life is a universe and your songs might just have made theirs but you will never know if you don’t just go do it.
