Reminiscing on last season, anticipating this coming season. Stricken with a familiar grief, one most folks call “duck depression”. Father Time needs to move things along! #chenegear

2026 spring has come and gone for me. Had some damn good times and could’ve shot a couple more had things just gone “my way”. It can be frustrating in the moment but it’s not all about the kill and they need to win sometimes. Just means that they’re there to chase another day. I never would’ve thought I could love something so much that I just need it to be sane but here we are. God sure has blessed me more then I deserve with the opportunities and the ability to chase such an amazing animal. Wouldn’t have it any other way! Till next year my feathered friends ✌️

Hey Ricky,
Just wanted to check back in with your call on a hunt that I truly believe I wouldn’t have been successful on if it wasn’t for your trumpet. After a two hour stall mate with him I finally got him to within sight down the bottom at about 80 yards. Up unto this point I had worked him with a mouth call. He had drawn his line in the sand and wasn’t going to budge. After going quiet on him for 30 minutes I could tell his interest was beginning to fade. I had the trumpet at the ready and responded to one of his drums. He absolutely crawled all over it. I watched his demeanor change, and his gobbles started having more authority. After only 3 exchanges with the trumpet the turkey folded up and came right to me. That sound was truly different and one that made a weary Mississippi public land gobbler come right to the gun. Thank you again for not only a beautiful call but one that I’ll be putting to work in the field for springs to come.

Chasing these silly ducks with my best buds never gets old. Blessed to be able to do what we do. Till next year boys, let’s go fishing! #LRDC #NoWaterNoDux

No complaints today, no wind and warm but the teal wanted to play today. The management, pressure control, and diversity this place has is unreal. Make sure you follow along with this, they are just getting started. #du #duck #ducks #ducksunlimited #waterfowl

I made a lot of noise this weekend and I got a nice plaque to prove it! The bullpen was a blast as always and the competition was even better.

Thank you for dedicating the time and effort to put on these events for us @jimronquest @heath___v I know we all have a great time when we get to gather and cut up together.

See y’all at the next one!
