setup vs the shot.

I wanted fall portraits that felt nostalgic, but in my home studio, so I went back to one light + black seamless.

Slides 1-10: Final product
Slide 11: Setup/photos/finished and tired!
Slide 12: Exact light diagram I used (save this one)

Sony A7rV + Sigma 24-70mm
One key light, 45° camera left, 4ft high. No fill. A collage, self portraits, a woman with brown curly hair. And some photo. She is wearing a white blouse with jeans. Some other photos she’s wearing brown turtle neck and holding flowers.

One light. Black seamless. Home studio set up.

This is how I set up for my fall self-portraits
- self-timer, sprinting to the backdrop.

Sony A7rV + Sigma 24-70mm, single key at 45°.

Which team are you - remote clicker or 10-sec sprint?
Full light diagram + ALL finals drop on Friday.

Lost in Paradise

A long time family photo session finally made into a reality.

The concept was easy: Family VOIGE inspired photos in the lush forests of Hawaii. Finding all the coordinating outfits, scheduling, location was not. In the end we pulled it off, and I couldn’t be happier with this year’s family shoot!

Are you wanting something like this? DM me let’s make your ideas into a reality.

Not sure if anything like this has happened to you, but this definitely had me stressed out!

I’ve been on a film journey to relearn film, and some of these things that are happening I couldn’t have imagined it would ever happen. This is the best way to learn. Learn by doing. At least for me anyway…

Stay tuned. I love doing this. I love shooting on film. I love the anticipation to see if you’ve got the shot and waiting for the film scans to come back.

This is my fourth roll that I’ve shot since I’ve started this journey and I can say that it has some of my most favorite shots so far.
