🚗💚 WHY TRANSPORT FUNDING MATTERS TO WILLOW TREE SANCTUARY 💚🚗

Willow Tree Sanctuary rescues at-risk animals from regional and remote pounds across the country.

One of the biggest challenges we face isn’t finding the will to save them — it’s finding the funds to get them to safety.

Many of the animals we want to save are hundreds of kilometres away from the foster home waiting for them. Some will travel more than 1,000km on their journey to safety.

Those transport costs can be enormous.

But at Willow Tree Sanctuary, we believe geography should never be a barrier to a second chance.

A dog sitting in a remote country pound deserves the same opportunity to be safe, loved and cherished as one sitting close to a major city. 🐾

And that’s exactly what a Freedom Ride Ticket can provide.

💚 𝗠𝗘𝗘𝗧 𝗗𝗢𝗧𝗧𝗜𝗘

Thanks to an initial donation from Pets Domain and SavourLife, Dottie was able to access her very own Freedom Ride Ticket — helping her travel from a regional NSW pound to a loving Willow Tree Sanctuary foster home many hours away.

Her Freedom Ride wasn’t simply transport from one place to another.
It was her road to safety.
Her road to a foster home.
Her road to a new life.

🐾𝗪𝗛𝗔𝗧 𝗜𝗦 𝗔 𝗙𝗥𝗘𝗘𝗗𝗢𝗠 𝗥𝗜𝗗𝗘 𝗧𝗜𝗖𝗞𝗘𝗧 ?

A Freedom Ride Ticket represents the funding needed to transport one rescue pet from a rural or regional pound into the safety of a rescue group.

1 Freedom Ride Ticket = 1 rescue pet transported to safety. 🚗🐶🐱💚
And throughout September, you can help us unlock more of them.

Through the Road to Rescue Campaign, additional transport funding can be unlocked for Willow Tree Sanctuary based on purchases of SavourLife products at Pets Domain.
So when you choose SavourLife at Pets Domain this September, you’re helping us move closer to our target — and helping another vulnerable animal begin their own journey to safety.

💚 Help us unlock more freedom rides.

Because sometimes, the only thing standing between an animal in a remote pound and the loving foster home waiting for them… is the road between them. 🚗🐾

🚗🐾 18 LIVES. 18 FREEDOM RIDES. 18 BRIGHTER FUTURES. 💚
What an incredible month it has been!

Thanks to the Road to Rescue Challenge, we helped 18 vulnerable animals — 12 puppies and 6 adult dogs — travel to safety. 🐶💚

For Willow Tree Sanctuary, transport is a vital part of rescue. Many animals are waiting in regional and remote pounds, sometimes more than 1,000 kilometres from the foster homes, veterinary care and adoption opportunities they need.

A rescue offer is only the beginning — we still have to get them to safety. 🚗🐾

Among those saved were Cattle Dogs, Bull Arabs, Shar Peis, Staffies, a Kelpie, a Great Dane cross, a Cavalier and a Foxy. Puppies, young dogs and older dogs alike were given the chance to leave the pound and begin a brighter future in the care of Willow Tree Sanctuary.

Behind every freedom ride is an extraordinary network of people:
💚 Foster carers who open their homes and hearts
💚 Volunteers who give their time, energy and kilometres
💚 Supporters and community members who stand behind our rescue
💚 Pets Domain and SavourLife, whose support through the Road to Rescue Challenge helped make these journeys possible

🙏🏼 Thank you to everyone who played a part.

Every kilometre travelled means an animal is leaving uncertainty behind and heading towards safety, care, love and, ultimately, a forever home.

18 animals are safer because people came together and chose to make a difference. 🥹🐾💚

Thank you to everyone who chose SavourLife at Pets Domain this month. Your support has helped transport rescue pets to safety and create brighter futures for animals in need.
From all of us at Willow Tree Sanctuary — and from the 18 precious lives helped along the way — thank you. 💚🙏

🚗💚 THE ROAD TO RESCUE — AND WE’RE NOT DONE YET! 🐾

For animals sitting in regional pounds, distance can be the difference between life and death.

Throughout the Road to Rescue Challenge, we’ve been able to show exactly why transport funding is so critical to the work we do at Willow Tree Sanctuary.
Many of the animals we rescue are hundreds — sometimes more than 1,000 kilometres — away from the foster homes, veterinary care and adoption opportunities they desperately need.

🐾 Stella and Dax, two beautiful two-year-old Cattle Dogs, were both sitting on death row in regional pounds. They needed a rescue to say YES — but they also needed a way to reach safety.

🐾 Khoda, a six-month-old Labrador cross puppy, was also rescued from a regional pound and transported into the care and security of a loving foster home.

🐾 And then there was a litter of Staffy puppies, dumped in a regional pound and needing rescue, transport and somewhere safe to land.
Along with Dottie and Smokey, these precious animals have been given something every rescue animal deserves:
A way out. A safe place to land. And the opportunity for an entirely different future.

🚙 Transport gets them out of the pound and into foster care. It gives them access to veterinary treatment, good nutrition, rehabilitation and, ultimately, the opportunity to find their forever families.
That is why rescue transport matters.
And we’re so close to helping even more animals.

💚 By choosing SavourLife at Pets Domain before the end of September, you’ll help us unlock additional funding and give more rescue pets a second chance.
Every purchase helps us move closer to unlocking more Freedom Ride Tickets — and for an animal waiting in a regional pound, that ticket can quite literally be their journey to a new life. 🚗🐾

🙏🏼 And to SavourLife and Pets Domain, thank you for helping us bridge the enormous distances between animals who desperately need help and the people waiting to give them a second chance.

🚗💚 HALFWAY THROUGH THE ROAD TO RESCUE!

⭐️ Meet Dottie and Smokey two adorable 13-week-old Bull Arab x puppies whose lives have already been changed. ⭐️

🐶 Dottie and Smokey were found waiting in regional NSW pounds, far from the safety, care and foster homes they needed.

🚗 Thanks to the initial donation of two Freedom Ride Tickets from Pets Domain and SavourLife, both puppies have now left the pounds behind and begun again in Willow Tree Sanctuary foster homes.

📆 At just 13 weeks old, these babies were vulnerable, frightened and facing an uncertain future. We were able to offer them rescue, but they still needed to travel hundreds of kilometres to reach the foster carers waiting to welcome them.

🚗🐾 Their Freedom Ride Tickets made those journeys possible.
💗Today, Dottie and Smokey are both safe in foster homes and have begun their healing journeys. They have had their initial vet visits, started on healthy food and begun learning what it means to simply be puppies.

🏡 Both are learning to play, feel safe, trust and enjoy their new lives. Both are experiencing the love, care and security that every puppy deserves.🐾

🙏 A full belly, a soft bed, a wagging tail and the courage to play may seem like small things — but for Dottie and Smokey, they mean everything.

🚗 Their story shows why transport funding is so important. For animals waiting in remote and regional pounds, being offered rescue is only the first step. Without safe transport, they may never reach the foster carers ready to welcome them.

😭 Sometimes that journey is hundreds of kilometres — or even more than 1,000 kilometres.

🎟️ 1 Freedom Ride Ticket = 1 rescue pet transported to safety.
💚 Two tickets. Two freedom rides. Two little lives given the chance to begin again. 💚

📆 Throughout September, your purchase of SavourLife products at Pets Domain can help unlock additional Freedom Ride Tickets through SavourLife’s Road to Rescue campaign.
🚗🐾 Let’s help more vulnerable animals leave pounds, travel to safety and discover the love and happiness they deserve.

Where did Bone To Bowl start...?

A year ago we started fostering pups with @willowtreesanctuary to help little ones in need to find their forever home.

To date we've fostered 8 pups and have totally enjoyed seeing these guys meet their new families.

It brings so much joy to see them flourish!

We DID have a foster fail (that's when you fall in love too much to let them go ❤️)

Mr Bo has skin issues so only the best for that boy!

Clean natural food and homemade (no preservative) treats and so Bone To Bowl was born 🐾

We are starting out and to ensure all the pups get all the treats we are gifting any unsold treats to our beloved WTS (WILL TAG) foster carers within our region.

If you're interested in becoming a carer check out the link below 😍🐾

It’s been a huge week in rescue this week and there are still more pups coming in even today. This is just a snippet of what has been happening at my place. Absolutely beautiful darlings, lucky enough to land in the care of @willowtreesanctuary Please, please reach out if you would like to foster or even adopt. @willowtreesanctuary is always looking for caring foster parents so we would love to hear from you. It is literally the most rewarding thing I have ever done.
