The year that was 2025, part 1! ✨

I’m the girl that takes too many photos and never does anything with them! So here goes, prepare for an influx of memories.

2025 was an absolute whirlwind of a year to say the least, but it’s one that I’m forever going to remember ❤️

The Winter Spine is back

The Pennine Way offers no mercy only wind, ice, and endless night, It strips them bare.

A collective of images I’ve taken from 2022, 2024 and 2025. Never ventured far from my comfort, nor did I have to.

I’ll be out on course again, I wish the competitors the best of luck

2025 thank you 💫

I always find it hard to summarise a year when so much has happened. The ups the downs, the craziness that is life.

The past few days I’ve been looking back through all my photos (I swear I take too many), and in all honesty, some of the things I did, I completely forgot I did this year. It’s been that much of a whirlwind of a year.

There have been times when I lost my way, felt confused with the world, felt lost with who I am and what I truly want to do with my life. Having positive people in my life, through my friends and family, they help provide the light.

Through hardships there is always growth.
Through consistency there is always reward.

It’s been a year of mixed emotions and huge life events. By far the best month of the year was June for many reasons but many because I got engaged at my favourite place in North Yorkshire ✨

January - Catch ups with @bliss_arianne, cheering on @willrobbo27 on his @spinerace debut! Crisp winter walks in the Peak District with @danobeaumont.

February - Birthday Weekend Break in Litton with the family. Edinburgh for Rugby!

March - Saddleworth 10 Res Run. Berlin with work. Edinburgh for the Six Nations. Bristol Dockyard Ultra. Lille 🇫🇷

April - Shropshire Running Weekend, Walks in Patterdale. @wensleydale_creamery with the family.

May - Scotland for @officialssdt. Trail running in wales. Supporting an all female Paddy Buckley Round.

June - I became a fiancé 💍✨ Watched @jasroe93 smash her Hyrox PB in Cardiff. Danced to @beyonce in London for her Cowboy Carter Tour with Akash and Joe. Ran my first ever 50 miler with Alex. Supported @projectsaltrun with the Coast to Coast. Watched the British Open Squash Finals in Birmingham. Arnside Weekend with @jasroe93. Rob & Hannah’s Wedding.

July - Midnight memory walk with Jas, Charlie & Hannah, @lovetrailsfestival

August - @kendalcalling, Harrison & Ella’s Wedding ✨Volleyball Weekend at the Avery’s

September - @followthefishtv with Jas

October -Last day of work before my sabbatical leave. Alex’s surprise 30th Birthday Party. Flew to India to support @projectsaltrun

November - Met @richardbranson at the Taj Mahal

December - @projectsaltrun 🇮🇳

2025 wasn’t about noise.

It was about showing up, early mornings, hard sessions, long days, and real progress.

New products launched.
Athletes raised the bar.
The work went deeper.

None of it happens alone.
To our athletes, partners, and the team behind the scenes, thank you for pushing with us.

2026 is already calling.

Drop your biggest win from this year and what you’re chasing next👇

Some pics shooting in Snowdonia for @styrkr.uk

Winter training blocks demand discipline, dark mornings, cold air, wet days. If you wait for motivation, you’ll never make it out the door.

Yesterday marked the shortest day of the year
brighter, warmer days are on the way.

Don’t wait for perfect conditions, you’ll never get anything done. As someone once said there’s no bad weather only bad clothing.

Excited for racing to commence in 2026 💥

£316,000… just WOW!
Project 500 is about to come to an incredible finish - and it’s all thanks to YOU.
Every person who ran, hiked, cycled, swam, climbed, crawled (yes!), bounced, shared and donated… you’ve helped raise a truly life-changing total for Mind Over Mountains.

Your challenges = free, supported places on our wellbeing walks for people who need them most.
Your kindness = someone’s first step toward feeling hopeful again.

We’re blown away. We’re grateful beyond words.
Thank you for making Project 500 possible. 🌿

CREWING

I’ve been lucky enough to spend some time crewing others in recent years. They have made up some of the most fun adventures and it is always a privilege to play a small part in helping someone achieve their goals.
From chief logistics for a Bob Graham to general support on Charlie Ramsay and Paddy Buckley rounds. Solo crewing a Double Everesting challenge resulted in an incredibly long stint in a lay-by. An unreal last min opportunity to go to the USA to crew at Cocodona 250 - a week in a van driving across Arizona and pacing; a section on the Hangover trail is probably to date one of my most memorable running experiences. Crewing 7 days across India was hectic, relentless and incredible all in one.

What have I learnt?
🔹 You will have to turn your hand to any job - from sun tan lotion applying, sock changer, outfit modification, bag packer to driving and pacing. Often I am there for nutrition support but that is always just one of many jobs.
🔹 Line up your best monologues for pacing stints - two way conversation is not always aplenty...
🔹 Don’t take anything too personally - people can temporarily turn into princesses when sleep deprived and despite your best efforts you can feel like it is not enough at the time.
🔹 Crewing can be relentless and tough. But it is very rewarding.
🔹 Sit down as a team - understand your roles and communication between the crew and runner is so important to establish early on.
🔹 Enjoy the experience and take time for yourself or the team. It’s a great bonding experience and I have been lucky to meet a lot of amazing people on the way.
🔹 Crewing is a true privilege and inspiring. If you get an opportunity then I would encourage anyone who races to do so, or even volunteer at races as you learn a lot more than you may think.

It’s not only helped my running and cycling as I’ve learnt so much from those I’ve crewed, but also tips I can pass on to my clients as well. If anyone ever needs any crew, holla as I’ll always be keen!
