We’re taught to follow a route. But when did we decide it was the only one? 👀

Go to school. Get qualifications. Get a job. Work hard. Climb the ladder. Pay into a pension. Hope you’ve got enough to enjoy retirement

And for some people, that route works brilliantly

Others don’t get the qualifications, start at the bottom, work their way through different jobs and do everything they can to keep their heads above water

But what if there are routes we’ve never really considered?

What if success doesn’t have to look the same for everyone?

What if you could build a business around something people already love, create new opportunities, work towards more flexibility and build something alongside the life you already have?

That’s one of the reasons I became interested in building a business around travel. Not because it’s the only route, or because it’s an easy one, but because I wanted to explore a different possibility

I believe some people follow the path. Some people find a way around the obstacles. And others decide to create their own

Some hit ceilings. Others bash down doors. Some routes are conventional. Others aren’t. And that’s OK

Life would be pretty boring if we all did the same thing.

So here's the question…

Are you choosing your route because it’s right for you, or because it’s the one you’ve always been told to take? 👇

I’d love to hear your thoughts. 💙

I think we throw the word “more” around quite a lot

● More money
● More freedom
● More time
● More travel
● More choice

But what does that actually mean for you?

Because my version of “more” might look completely different to yours

Maybe yours is being able to spend more time with your children

Maybe it's having the flexibility to take the school holidays back

Maybe it's leaving a job you've outgrown

Maybe it's building something alongside your partner

Maybe it's simply having something that is yours

And maybe you're not even sure yet

That's okay

You don't need to have the whole plan figured out

But I do think it's worth asking yourself:

If I could have more of something in my life, what would I actually want more of?

Because once you know what your “more” is, you can start making decisions that move you towards it

So… what would more actually mean for you?

I can be grateful for the life I have… and still want more 🤍

For a long time, I think I confused wanting more with not being grateful enough

But the truth is, I am grateful
● for my family
● for Tarbytots
● for the opportunities I've had
● for the life Will and I have built together

But I'm also a working mum, a business owner, a wife, a daughter, a friend… and there are only so many hours in a day

Sometimes I find myself wondering what life could look like if I had more choice over my time

More flexibility

More opportunities to travel with my family

More time that actually feels like ours

And yes, I'd love to build another income stream alongside what I'm already doing

Not because I want to walk away from the life I have

Because I want to build on it

That's the bit I've really started to understand.
Wanting something different doesn't mean you don't appreciate what you already have

It can simply mean you're brave enough to ask:
"What else might be possible for me?"

I'm still figuring that out. I'm still building. I'm definitely not at the destination yet

But I'm excited about where we're heading

And if you've ever looked at your life and thought "I love my life… but I want more from it too", I promise you're not the only one ❤️

What would "more" look like for you?

And that’s a wrap… 🎓✨

We completed the final instalment of our Leadership Certification training with Eric Worre

● Bootcamps
● Challenges
● Training
● Certification
● And a whole lot of learning along the way

Now there’s just one thing left to do… pass the final exam

Then it’s graduation, and the part I’m most excited about, taking everything we’ve learned and passing it on to our team

Because leadership isn’t just about what you learn for yourself

It’s about what you can take, apply and share to help other people build something successful and sustainable of their own 🤍

One step closer ✨

What if success was never supposed to be a competition?

One of the things we love most about this business isn't actually the travel

It's the personal development

We're encouraged to build belief in ourselves, develop our confidence, work on our mindset and recognise what we're capable of
● There's structure
● There's training
● There's support

And you're never alone unless you choose to be

And the impact of that has gone far beyond this business for us

We've taken what we've learned into our businesses and our lives. For Will, it helped give him the confidence to step away from a teaching career he'd spent 16 years building and believe he could create something of his own

And watching that happen has been incredible

But perhaps what we love most is the culture of wanting other people to win too

People genuinely celebrate your progress. They encourage you when things are difficult. They get excited when you hit a goal

Because your success doesn't have to take anything away from mine

We're taught from such a young age that success means being the one at the top

But what if it doesn't?

What if we can all grow?

All build something we're proud of?

All win in our own way?

What if supporting someone else isn't a threat to our own success, but one of the best parts of the journey?

That's what we've found here

And we're still learning. Still growing. Still building.
But we're incredibly grateful for the people we're doing it alongside 💙

Singapore & Indonesia with some of our favourite people 🌏❤️

A trip to see friends who moved to the other side of the world

An opportunity to give our boys experiences they'll hopefully remember for the rest of their lives

And memories that we'll treasure long after the suitcases are unpacked

I'm incredibly grateful that we're able to do this.
But I also know it didn't happen by accident

This life is something we've been working towards for years

We've had to believe in ourselves, believe in each other and be willing to take a few leaps of faith along the way

We've had plans that didn't quite go to plan. 😂
We've had moments where we've questioned ourselves

And we've had to pick up the pieces, learn, adapt and keep going

We're still building the life we've dreamed about.
We're nowhere near finished

But that's actually the bit I'm learning to appreciate most...

We're loving the journey
● The places
● The people.
● The experiences.
● The risks.
● The lessons.
And, most importantly, doing it all together

So if you're curious about what we're building and where this journey takes us...
Come follow along ✈️🌏💙

11 years married today ❤️

11 years of figuring life out together, driving each other round the bend, working hard, changing, growing and somehow still choosing each other through all of it

It hasn’t always been easy, and it certainly hasn’t always gone to plan, but I think one of the things I’m most proud of is that we’ve always tried to support each other in going after the things that matter to us, even when that means taking risks, making sacrifices and trusting each other to find our own way

I’m incredibly proud of Will for finally trusting himself enough to go after his dreams. Even if those dreams currently involve being on the other side of the world… which I’m finding considerably harder than I’d like to admit 😂

Because as much as he drives me absolutely bloody mad, life is just better when he’s by my side. And when he’s not, it feels like a little piece of me is missing

So, 11 years down. Still working it out. Still annoying each other. Still in it together

Happy anniversary, Will ❤️

🌞🌑 Solar Eclipse Ready at Tarbytots! 🌑🌞

The children are SO excited for tomorrow’s solar eclipse, so we’ve been getting ourselves ready with our very own homemade viewing pods 🔭✨
Made using nothing more than empty toilet rolls, tin foil, white paper, an elastic band and a little sticky tape, simple materials, but lots of learning!
We’ve been talking about what a solar eclipse actually is, why it happens, what we might see and, most importantly, how to watch it safely 🌍🌙☀️
And of course, making our viewing pods gave us plenty of opportunities to develop those little hands too, rolling, stretching, wrapping, securing, sticking and manipulating materials all require coordination, control and problem-solving

We love turning a big real-world event into a hands-on learning experience ❤️
Now we’re ready… bring on the eclipse 🌑✨

Our viewing pods are designed to help children observe the projected image safely. We will not be looking directly at the Sun 👌

Swanage & Wareham RFC are pleased to welcome Will Tarbard to the coaching team as Attack & Skills Coach 🦢🏉

Will brings a strong coaching background and a wealth of experience to the Swans, including:

Wimborne RFC Seniors Coach 2021–2023
Bath PDG Academy Lead Coach 2023–Present
Purbeck School Head of Sport 2011–2026

He also holds the England Rugby RFU Advanced Coaching Award, Safeguarding Level 3, Headcase Certificate, Enhanced DBS and 1 Day EFAW First Aid.

Will said:

“I am very excited to take on this opportunity at Swanage & Wareham RFC alongside my busy coaching schedule as and when I can fit it in. Swans has always been a club with huge potential and being part of such a high quality coaching team I feel I can bring in fresh innovative ideas, alongside a high skill-set attacking focus.

A lot of the current squad I have coached through Purbeck School and/or coached or played against. I am really looking forward to getting stuck in from 7th July onwards on Tuesday evening.”

A fantastic addition to the club as we look ahead to the new season.

Welcome to the Swans, Will
