One of my proudest memories in recent years of being a teacher is how many comprehensive school rugby 🏉 players I have nurtured through school and into Bath Academy’s PDG programme 💙 🖤 🤍 .

In my final two years, 6 players in total have pulled on the blue, black and white shirt at U15 and U16 level. Two of which currently have progressed into U18 and U17 squads ✅. Three scholarships to Independant schools for Sixth Form where they will not only flourish on the rugby field, but also furthering their academic education and career opportunities 💪 .

To see that the Purbeck schools rugby pitch is no more with a football pitch in its place, just provides more evidence that my time to leave education had come and tthe agenda of so called “PE colleagues “was never inline with the variant sporting opportunities offered. It worries me greatly the future of sport in state schools 😕

For now though, I continue to look forward to seeing how Bryanstons U18 co-Captain TJ Shearer (Bath U18 player), Ren Elliot (Bath U17 player) and Will Wright thrive with the opportunities in front of them 👀.

For this I have no regrets.

No matter what your upbringing. No matter what your circumstances. Sometimes all it takes is a bit of love, support and guidance to bring the best out of people. ❤️ taken in Bryanston School by @willtarbard

📚 16 years. One chapter. A lifetime of memories. ❤️

⏰ 15,600 hours of teaching.
⚽ 3,120 hours of extra-curricular clubs.
📖 Countless revision sessions.
🏉 Hundreds of fixtures.
🤝 Thousands of one-to-one conversations.
💙 Endless opportunities to help young people believe in themselves.

I don’t regret a single second.

I’ve had the privilege of teaching, coaching and supporting incredible young people, worked alongside amazing colleagues, met wonderful families, and watched students grow into adults who are now making their own mark on the world. That will always mean more than any job title ever could. 🙌

But after 16 years, my farewell was a generic printed card with my name handwritten on it… and a bottle of wine. 🍷

This isn’t about gifts. It’s about what that represents 💭

Too many incredible teachers give everything they have, yet often feel like they’re just another “cog in a machine”. Decisions are made for them. Their influence is getting less and less. Their passion is stretched. And appreciation can feel few and far between.

I know my worth. 💯

I’m not leaving because I stopped caring,
I left because I care too much.

I want the freedom to inspire more people, create bigger opportunities, support better wellbeing, and make the kind of impact that isn’t limited by a system.

🚀 Tomorrow at 3:10pm, Chapter 2 officially begins.

And I genuinely couldn’t be more excited.

Here’s to taking the leap.
Here’s to backing yourself.
Here’s to building something that truly changes lives.

Let’s do this. 💜🔥

What happens when two experienced teachers decide that enough is enough?

In this episode of MAN UP, I sit down with one of my best mates, Ben Keen, for an open, honest and at times brutally revealing conversation about our experiences in education — and why we both eventually decided to walk away.

This mornings re.Defined was different. This mornings re.Defined was special. This mornings re.Defined really did hone us back in to why we do what we do every Wednesday morning at 6am 🕕 🖤.

After the 30min workout 🏋️(in the rain 🌧️), just prior to our 70s plank 🪵 , Big Loz opened up about one of his police 👮 colleagues losing his life at the weekend at the tender age of 24 😢. The strength and power in his words, whilst clearly holding back tears, was hugely admirable, inspirational and really hit home to how precious life is ❤️.

We then had a police bugle play in memory and respect of PC Alex Ayre whilst all partaking in the 70 second plank. 💪

For me personally, this is a firm reminder of how us as men need to check in more often with each other, support each other and simply be there. 🥰

re.Defined is brilliant, but it could be even bigger than it is. This story is 100% true and real. ❤️

No matter what anyone say about MLM,
Network Marketting and the Independant Travel Industry, for @leannetarbard and I it has been absolutely mega. 🌎. Having recently got back from convention in Florida 🇺🇸 I am more motivated than ever to create the same success and opportunity for others. I went out there knowing no-one and came back knowing everyone, with some amazing friendships made 🕺

We have travelled all over the place, creating amazing memories and experiences for our family, our primary objective when setting up @tarby.travel. The commissions we have earned has paid for these amazing trips. ❤️

NEW WTFC U9 Eagles 🦅Challenge? At training each week the boys will be told to bring an item to Sundays Match. Parents will vote on WhatsApp and social media will vote as well! Each vote is worth 1 point and the boys will be put in a league for this with a VERY SPECIAL PRIZE 🏆 FOR THE WINNER at the end of the season.

I have made it my sole purpose to support as many men as possible in this crazy world that we now live in 🤦‍♂️❤️

Only some people are open to support. Too many are blinkered by status, ego and pride ❌ . Stigmas around men’s mental health 💛 are still one of the biggest issues and barriers to men talking. 💬

How do we change that? How can I make a difference?

Simple - lead by example 💪 . Educate 👨‍🏫. Talk 🗣️. Listen 👂. Most importantly welcome people in who need help ❤️

This is why I have built the “Men’s Well-Being Hub”. A cheap 💰 , online community 📲 which you can access likeminded people and support from anywhere. It includes:

What do I do now? ⁉️

The answer is complicated, but also very simple. I have multiple streams of income 🤑.
- Independant Travel Agent 🌍 building a team of aspirational people who are challenge driven 💪
- Coach Tarbs Multi Skills Clubs for children ⚽️🏀🏈⚾️🎾🏐🏉🏓🎳🏸🏏🏅- building confidence, offering sporting opportunity and instilling life skills 💪
- Tarbytots co-owner with my beautiful and amazing wife 👩‍❤️‍👨 - providing amazing pre-school nurturing care as well as additional learning for school children’s wrap around care 👶👶👧🧒👦
- Coach a lot of talented young people rugby 🛁💙🖤🤍🇬🇧🌍🇺🇸
- Lead an Online Platform supporting men’s mental health and wellbeing called “Men’s Well-Being Hub” 🙋‍♂️🏋️🧠 including free Wednesday morning sessions in Wimborne called re.Defined.

I have gone from being an ex-teacher, dictated by the system 😡 , to doing all the things I am ridiculously passionate about ❤️, having the biggest positive impact I can have on the world and society.
