Starting at the Rose and Crown pub, I joined the Wimbledon Windmilers for their weekly social run, a much more enjoyable pace than Wednesday's threshold session. Led by coach Ralph, it was a 4 mile course featuring Wimbledon Common, hills and some of the gentrified houses of Wimbledon. Great to meet more of the members, a few who are long-standing stalwarts, some new and some into parkruns.

Checked out the Wimbledon Windmilers for their Wednesday track session at their athletics track. 5 x 1.6k efforts w/ 80s recovery. Joined a group doing 3:40 pace. Interesting to see padel courts right in the middle of the track.

As a British Triathlon coach, my belief is that for the majority of us, triathlon is about self-improvement, mentally and physically, training to sacrifice the short-term for a much bigger long-term goal. 🧐 The benefits transcend swim, bike, run.

12 months of commitment, blood, sweat and tears, shared advice and sharing the burden. Two days of cheering for each other. 📣 I’m so proud of this group of friends.

Thanks so much to my buddies at @windmilers, well done everyone, and I can’t wait to see what we do next!

Special shout out to my sister, @carafaudes, who has driven our family passion for triathlon for almost a decade.🫶

Three years ago @cassdwsn got on a road bike for the first time, this year she trained alone riding over 4,000km. The growth of my girlfriend’s confidence knows no bounds! ⛓️‍💥💪

Thank you to our support crew, my family, Mrs A., and @issy.gwy 🙌 Having you all around each corner to push us on kept our heads high and smiling!
