#studioshot of #ninkaskhiereli @ninka_skhiereli working on her “Untitled,” 2026 painting, plus #shots of other works in her studio. Ninka’s Mentor is @gia.edz whom she credits with shaping her vocabulary; he coined the term “postmodern baroque” for her practice. I love the way her abstract works seem to possess psychologically charged figures that dissolve into their surroundings. Ninka has shown with @windowproject__ @ruttkowski68 @warehousewines @ninomiergallery , the latter of which included works by Ninka in its 2026 Summer group show.

A little over a year ago, I finally set foot in a city and country that had been near the top of my list for ages; Tbilisi, Georgia. It was everything I imagined and so much more. The capital of Caucasus Cool is nothing but vibes, vibes, vibes. A dynamic culinary, beverage, fashion, hospitality, and historic hub.

In a whopper of a 12-page story for the April edition of @travelandluxury, I explored what makes it THE city to visit now. Thank you again to @georgeepam for this vibrant story together, and sorry it has taken me this long to catch up on it. Inside you’ll find hip restaurants such as @ketoandkote, @ninias_garden by acclaimed chef @__meriko_, and @wellerrestaurant; wine haunts at @8000vintages and @vinounderground; trendy boltholes @stamba.hotel and @rooms.tbilisi; textiles and fashion from @caucasiancarpetsgallery to @situationist_official; and lots of art and museums from the @__tpmm to @windowproject__.

Over the next week I’ll be sharing some highlights from one of my new all-time favorite cities. Lots of thanks to @makmakats at @georgiatravel for setting me on the right path, and to my boisterous and jovial Georgian-to-the-max guide @guro_alapishvili. Thanks for enduring a week of ‘peak life’ with me. I promise we’ll go to the pub for some Guinness next time.

Very grateful to have been part of the VIP program at Tbilisi Art Fair @tbilisiartfair 🙏🏻❤️

It offered a deeper way to experience Tbilisi’s incredibly active local art scene from breathtaking Belle Époque buildings to historic spaces and beautifully curated exhibitions across the city. The level of professionalism, curation, hospitality, and artistic quality was truly impressive! Tbilisi carries such a unique cultural energy - rich, open, creative and deeply inspiring.

We visited spaces including Chaos and Rooms Studio, Windows Project, Bukia Vakhania, where I especially loved the solo exhibition “Remember me kindly” by David Apakadze, reflecting on the Martyrdom of Queen Shushanik, and LC Queisser with the powerful Karli Kacharava exhibition “What I said when I left the room”.

We also had a reception at Anagi Art Foundation @artfoundationanagi , a space and moment that deeply touched me, both through the people and very emotional exhibition “Repression & Free Will”.

Thank you to everyone who made this experience so special ❤️ @tbilisiartfair @g_____kekela
