#studioshot of #ninkaskhiereli @ninka_skhiereli working on her “Untitled,” 2026 painting, plus #shots of other works in her studio. Ninka’s Mentor is @gia.edz whom she credits with shaping her vocabulary; he coined the term “postmodern baroque” for her practice. I love the way her abstract works seem to possess psychologically charged figures that dissolve into their surroundings. Ninka has shown with @windowproject__ @ruttkowski68 @warehousewines @ninomiergallery , the latter of which included works by Ninka in its 2026 Summer group show. by @windowproject__

“Ninka Skhiereli’s abstract, landscape-inspired canvases do not merely depict; they act. Here, a postmodern baroque sensibility reveals the fluidity and dynamism of the multiverse. Every visual layer appears as a flowing, energetic field, exerting a continuous and reciprocal influence upon the others in a drive toward interconnectedness.

Gilles Deleuze describes such a condition as a “disjunctive unity,” a fundamental gesture of the postmodern baroque in which sovereign, discordant, and seemingly incompatible segments vibrate together, revealing the grandeur of a unified being. Skhiereli’s psychic landscapes are saturated with the explosive substance of subjectivity. These eruptions fracture the boundaries of internalized mental content, allowing it to spill beyond the confines of the individual psyche.

The ultimate movement of the work is therefore toward dissolution: the release of the psychic segments through which the world is apprehended and organized. What emerges is not a stable landscape but a field of transformation, in which perception, matter, consciousness, and energy continuously converge, separate, and recombine.” - Gia Edzgveradze

“In Ani Toidze’s works, there stands a strange, transcendent coziness. It resembles swaying in a hammock strung between the gaping fullness of Being and the idea of Death, an odd mixture of freedom and vulnerability. It is precisely through this sensation that one may encounter what could be termed transhumanity.” - Gia Edzgveradze

Rusudan Khizanishvili | Double Exposure

We are pleased to share installation views from Rusudan Khizanishvili’s solo exhibition at KORNFELD Galerie, Berlin, curated by Asja Wolf

🗓️ July 3 - August 22, 2026

📍 Fasanenstraße 26, 10719 Berlin, Germany

“ KORNFELD Galerie Berlin presents Double Exposure, a new body of work by Georgian artist Rusudan Khizanishvili. Against the backdrop of current protests in Georgia, her paintings explore the tension between personal memory, cultural identity, and political reality.

Layered figures, shifting contours, and translucent colour fields evoke the logic of cinematic double exposure, allowing past and present, myth and lived experience to appear simultaneously on the canvas. Rather than depicting explicit political scenes, Khizanishvili weaves biography, mythology, and collective memory into dense, emotionally charged compositions that speak to the urgencies of the present.”

VIMA Art Fair 2026 @vima.artfair

For the VIMA Art Fair we are pleased to present three contemporary artists working across distinct media: Uta Bekaia (ceramics), Aleksey Dubinsky (painting), and Ani Toidze (works on paper). Each artist is represented through a single medium, enabling a focused investigation of materiality and perception.

Across the presentation, white surfaces - glazed ceramic, primed canvas, and paper - function as a unifying conceptual ground, activated by subtle interventions of color, mark, and form that articulate the transformative trajectories of human experience.

🗓️ May 14 — 17, 2026

Spotlight on Uta Bekaia (@utabekaia)
Presented by Window Project (@windowproject__)
at VIMA Art Fair 2026

Uta Bekaia (b. 1974) is an artist whose practice reimagines ancestral rituals through the lens of a queer utopian future. Working across wearable sculpture, ceramics, textiles, and performance, he constructs immersive environments shaped by craft, symbolism, and collective presence.

Drawing from traditional techniques and cultural references, his works transform into living forms — activated through movement, film, and staged encounters.
