CHK OUT OUR YOUTUBE CHANNEL 👉 Malivoire’s 2024 Three Rows Pinot Noir just won Platinum at the National Wine Awards of Canada, one of only two Pinot Noirs in the entire country to take home the top medal this year.
We sat down with Shiraz Mottiar, our Director of Winegrowing, to talk about this tiny three-row block on the Beamsville Bench, and why 2024 turned out to be the vintage where it all came together.

This is also our very first video on YouTube. We’re going to be bringing you more of these longer, in-depth conversations there, the stories behind the wine that don’t fit into a caption or a quick clip. Come get to know us a little better.

Every bottle in the Farmers’ Series now carries the mark of the farm the fruit came from.

The label redesign goes deeper than a new look. Each grower has their own stamp and their own artwork, pulled from something true about their land and the people working it.

Redtail Vineyards has milkweed.
When the rows get weeded, it stays standing, the one plant monarchs will lay their eggs on and the only thing their caterpillars eat.
That’s how they farm, and that’s what’s on their label. It carries both County wines: the 2025 Farmers’ Series County Chardonnay and the 2025 Farmers’ Series County Pinot Noir.

Palatine Hills has a flock of waterfowl, for the love of the outdoors shared between their owners and our winemaker Jonas Newman. It’s on the 2025 Farmers’ Series Sauvignon Blanc.

Marynissen has roses, planted at the ends of the vineyard rows. It’s an old practice, an early warning system for mildew, and the roses are now part of the vineyard identity. They’re on the 2024 Farmers’ Series Cabernet Franc.

Icellars has the dogs. Their friendly dogs have long been a part of the welcome there, so they’re on the 2024 Farmers’ Series Syrah.

Putting their names on the front is the point.
Wineries in Ontario share fruit and show up for each other, someone trying their hand at a variety their own site can’t grow, someone else coming through when a region gets a hard year of weather.
The last couple of years of trade upheaval pulled that circle tighter.
You’ve been part of it, reaching for Ontario bottles when there were plenty of other options on the shelf. We’ve come to value all of it more than ever, and this is us saying so.

The new line up of our Farmers’ Series, for you.

Available now onsite and at grangewinery.com.
You’ll also find the 2025 Farmers’ Series County Chardonnay and County Pinot Noir at LCBO stores across Ontario.

Creative concept by @insitedesign.ca, who leads the design on all of our labels and brought this one to life. Thank you for the brilliance.

We’re incredibly proud of the wines and the people behind them.

Our winemaker, Ryan de Witte, whose talent, care and instinct continue to create truly beautiful wines.

Kaitlin, the rock of this winery, whose heart and dedication keep Rust moving forward every single day.

Our wonderful tasting room team, who bring Rust to life and make everyone who visits feel like part of it.

We only wish Kane were here to see this moment. His passion and contribution will forever be part of our story, and this achievement carries a piece of him.

When Rust began, we never could have imagined what this little winery on the Golden Mile Bench would become. It’s grown into something truly special and today, we’re incredibly proud to see it recognized among the best wineries in British Columbia.

🏆 GOLD for Trius Grand Red! 🍷

We’re thrilled to share that our Trius 2023 Grand Red has earned Gold at the 2026 @winealign National Wine Awards of Canada!

Crafted from premium Niagara-on-the-Lake fruit, Grand Red is a bold, expressive red blend with the depth and structure to reward every sip. Expect enticing aromas of ripe dark fruit, blackberry and black currant, layered with notes of oak, spice and subtle savoury character.

On the palate, it’s rich and full-bodied, with generous dark-fruit flavours, refined tannins and a beautifully lingering finish. It’s the kind of wine that invites you to slow down, savour the moment and discover something new in every glass.

A Gold-medal wine worth discovering. Try a bottle today and let us know what you think! 🍷

Take-Out Nation: What Ontario Is Ordering In — and What to Pour with It

The numbers are impressive: in the past year, 55% of Canadians have used SkipTheDishes, 54% have dialed up Uber Eats, while 49% opted for DoorDash. A majority of adult Canadians regularly use at least one of these platforms to order in food. And if you are among them, you won’t be surprised to learn what most Canadians are ordering in. According to data compiled by SkipTheDishes, Chinese food was the long-standing leader and remains a top choice today. Italian food came second, led of course by pizza. Thai ranked third in national search/interest data and Indian fourth, followed by Mexican and Middle Eastern.

As far as specific dishes go, the leader board looks like this:
1) Butter chicken
2) Poutine
3) Pad thai
4) Shawarma
5) Sushi
6) Chicken sandwiches, burgers & fries

Sound familiar? So, what’s a wine drinker to enjoy at home with these non-European cuisines (Italian aside) that have no obvious regional wine logic? Read my latest article on WineAlign.com, on for a few suggestions from the Vintages August 15 release, whose thematic is, you guessed it, take-out wines. Link in bio!

“Northern Rhone-like in its plentiful, peppery rotundone, this complex and authentic expression of Similkameen Valley Syrah is a wholly memorable and complex find.”
