That’s a wrap on the World Sailing Women’s Match Racing World Championship. We loved hosting 12 teams of incredible women sailors, and the energy at the Club all week, with so many languages spoken throughout, was something special. Even with race delays due to no wind, teams brought the competition shoreside with Jenga, Cornhole and card games.

Every team showed inspiring dedication, focus, and skill, and in the end, one team rose to the top.
🎉Congratulations to Pauline Courtois and crew Maëlenn Lemaitre, Louise Acker, and Laurane Mettraux on their sixth consecutive World Championship title.

Teamwork, patience and tactics were the name of the game out in the racecourse for Day 2. With a delayed start the action piled up in the second half of the day, finalizing the Round Robins as 8 out of 12 teams head to the Quarterfinals tomorrow.

Day 2 was an unconventional one on San Francisco Bay. An AP flag kept us waiting until 1:15pm, but once the breeze filled in, race committee got all 5 remaining flights in to wrap up the Round Robins.

Quarterfinals start tomorrow. Results and photos linked In bio!
