Exploring our “backyard” the majestic Yellow Rock which sits high over Broke as part of Pokolbin State Forest.
Incredible views across the region.
Also visited Baiame Cave with historic aboriginal paintings situated about 20 min from Broke.

Eevee has done the rounds at Hunter Valley Uncorked, Balmoral.
Our very good girl went stand to stand saying hi to the Hunter neighbours, and honestly, she collected more cuddles than anyone here. Sunshine, the harbour and the whole valley in one spot. Best day out.
Thank you to everyone who gave her a squeeze.

It all started back in March when we offered our first Community Totem making activity at ‘A Bit of Broke’ weekend in the Winmark Art Gallery coffee courtyard. Innocent visitors were seduced into a ceramic experience. Many had never had a ball of clay in their hands since primary school while others told stories of parents who were artists. Everyone enjoyed responding to this somatic material, telling stories and taking inspiration from the immediate environment of beautiful Winmark Wines.

We then repeated the process a few weeks ago as part of Sculptures in the Vineyards for the Wollombi Sculpture Festival after Sculpture Park talk and walk with @karinadcock and @isabelhlangtry while sketching shapes and sculptures along the way.

We hope to repeat this process to create a forest of totems that symbolise the people who love this special place and their tactile, visceral response to it. Aesthetic pleasure is more than just about looking afterall, and Winmark Wines more than satisfies all of the commonly known senses including taste, smell, sound and sight - but now also touch!

the little traveller. all 5’10 of her 😂

i made this while i was up at lake keepit, just after hitting 15,000 followers. i felt so overwhelmed by it all, id also been getting asked why the little traveller. so i wanted to share the story behind the name, what i’m doing and why it means so much to me.

and honestly, what a place to celebrate. looking out over that water, i had a bit of a moment: i really bloody love doing this.

i’m still seeing the world like a little girl who can’t quite believe how beautiful it is. now, i’m helping other people find the courage to go and see it for themselves.

sharing the beautiful places, the nerves, the things that don’t go to plan, and what happens when you go anyway.

women and men booking things, going places and doing things they once thought they couldn’t. knowing i’ve helped even a little is something i’m bloody proud of. sitting there, i think it properly sank in.

so, of course, i opened a very special, very delicious bottle of sparkling from @winmarkwines milestones deserve good wine 🥂

the woman behind winmark is such an inspiration. she’s brought art and wine together so beautifully, but it’s the way she makes people feel seen that really stays with you. i love that about her, and it’s something i hope you feel here too.

thank you for being here, for sharing your stories and for letting me be a little part of them.
