Unveiling the tale of Gables Beach Club & Hotel, a 1926 masterpiece lost to flames in 1930. Reborn as Sorrento Beach Club, halted by the Great Depression at the third story. Today, its ruins echo resilience and the fleeting beauty of ambitious dreams. 🏰🔥 #SorrentoRuins #HistoryUnearthed #ArchitecturalElegance

As most of you know our videos got taken down by our former label so we have been trying our best to put up all past videos. Sucks they have to start at zero views again. Anyway last week we finally uploaded the last video “The Show Has Been Cancelled”! Check it out it’s one of our favs. Link in bio.

Well guys. It’s a sad day over here at OldCar. Our trusty steed is no more.
A month ago someone hit winterlamaster while he was driving. The drivers insurance admitted 100% fault and agreed to pay for the full repair.
⚡️⚡️⚡️BUT!!! ⚡️⚡️😀And this is important for all of you!
The drivers insurance for property damage was only $5000.
What that means is, if the repairs exceed that amount , you (the victim) are Shit Out of Luck unless you want to litigate OR unless your insurance will cover.
The other reason this is important is because the that same value limit also applies to the car if it becomes a total. Meaning if the insurance company says it’s not worth fixing the damage , they only have to pay you up to the policy maximum.
So it ended up that the repairs would cost more than the market value of the Mercedes. (The private retail on this ML55 is 6500-8500 approx based on mileage and a few other items like the rear bumper/ rear lock actuator/ and rear driver side window regulator)
Considering we paid $2800 for it in 2019. Put about $1400 in DIY maintenance, we are still ahead of the game...
We are still very bummed since this rig took us so many places. Las Vegas, Mendocino, Arizona, all over the desert, off road, through the mountains, redwood forests and the beach.
We doubt we will find another SUV that has the same tire spinning power, off road ability, and m133 V8 reliability as the ML.
We will update you on what comes next.

🇬🇧 We have referenced them many times, they've been indirect protagonists of many stories... Their moment had to come sooner or later. But there are so many sources around to draw their story from, that would tell it a thousands times better than how we would, so we did it in our own way: in the waiting for their comeback with a second album, here's a diary page directly from 2018, when five boys from London went to play in Sicily for the first time. Read the article with the link in bio.

This is the time of year I start daydreaming of spots just like this. Tasty drink in hand, hammock swaying gently in the ocean breeze, and not having a care in the world.

Definitely one of my favorite accounts here on Instagram. Davis has a unique eye and take with his photos and keeps me reading with the accompanying words he writes. Check him out!
