Blue Monday , but the good kind.
These two came from the same trip. Same water , same sky , two different memories
of it. Together they feel like one long horizon. Apart, each one holds its own.
Slide 3 show them in a real room so you can picture them in yours.
Both are available as a pair or on their own. Comment BLUE and I’ll send you sizes and pricing.📩 Slide 1 (stacked pair)
Two abstract paintings by Edgar Medina hung one above the other on a white wall. The top piece has a turquoise sky, violet water and peach cloud shapes. The bottom piece has watercolor blue, green and copper tones. A small potted tree on a round side table and a woven gray chair sit beside them.

The art is thriving. The artist is unraveling.

Reporting live from Round Top, where the paintings are hung, the hair has given up, and I’ve somehow convinced myself that anyone needs 45 seconds of me talking into a phone.

All jokes aside, I am incredibly grateful. For the warm reception, the wonderful people I’ve met, the support, and the opportunity to share this work. It’s been a pretty extraordinary experience, even if I currently look like I’ve been dragged behind a horse.

Come see me at The Halles. The paintings are considerably more polished than their creator.

The latest in my Shape of Hope series.

Yellow represents hope—a constant presence, even when it’s difficult to see. Sometimes it shines brightly. Other times, it’s tucked beneath the layers of everything we’re navigating.

This series explores the challenges, messiness, and joy of our lives, with a reminder woven throughout: hope is always there, even when we have to look a little closer to find it.
