NUC DAY 6 - Because together, we really have the power to make a meaningful impact 💙

For Ell and I the goal was simple - give as many people as possible the opportunity to do their small part to make a difference. 1424 people experiencing homelessness in the Moreton Bay and with that number, we wanted to run a km to represent every single real person that relates to that number. As a team, business or individually, we invited our community to step up, to get uncomfortable and to do it for something bigger than ourselves 💙

Yes, there were personal goals being chased and that inner drive to see what we are capable of but more than this, it was for those who don’t get to choose their hard.

We watched as people turned up, rain, hail or shine, on their own, with friends and family, their kids, and gym community, with the same goal - spark conversations, raise awareness and contribute to doing our bit to solve homelessness in Australia.

As a community, we smashed our first goal before 9.30am and increased this number to 2650 to represent both Moreton Bay and Sunshine Coast.

Since yesterday that target has now reached 3221km 😱🚀

This goal was never possible alone, but together, the compounding impact of every single person who chose to do their bit - we did more than reach a goal, we inspired one another, we learnt a new level of personal capability, we sparked conversations about things that matter and we made a difference!

As of today, the IAMKIND community has raised an incredible $28,000.00 for WE ARE MOBILISED and contributed to over 2 years of housing 🥹

This community is truly something special and from the bottom of our hearts - thank you! Thank you for choosing kindness and thank you for believing in the impact you can have on this world!

FIRST RIDE BACK ON THE ROAD 🥹🚴🏼‍♀️💗

Two hours out on the road before heading inside to finish the rest of my ride, followed by a 40-minute brick run 🏃🏼‍♀️

It might not have been the full ride outdoors, but honestly, I’m SO proud of myself. After everything that’s happened over the last few weeks, getting back out there and building that confidence again feels like such a win.

Progress doesn’t always look perfect, and sometimes you have to adapt the plan, but showing up and getting it done is what matters. 🫶🏼

Slowly finding my way back, one session at a time. 🥹

6 weeks until Busso 70.3… let’s do this! 🤍

Sunday long run complete ✅
I love going out with no plan for distance.
Tried some new flavours @puresportsnutrition and had the best company that helped the first 10km fly by 🤍🤍🤍

Family Sunday run - 7K with some efforts:

Was meant to be 8, but the little one was losing it at the 7K mark and it was pissing rain so had to abort the last K. But 7Ks in the bag, Mama was running some heat out there. Running in the 4s is no joke.

Happy Sunday Team 😊

“You don’t build mental and physical toughness by doing what’s easy. You build it by showing up when everything in you wants to quit.”

The runs you don’t want to do are often the ones that matter most.

I didn’t feel like it today, but I got out anyway. That’s where discipline is built.

The @illawarraescarpmenttraverse is next weekend so I thought I’d better test out the first part of the course, the technical single track climb 🥵

Hard, not super runnable for battlers like me, but a lot of fun.

Bring on the 31st 💪
