Starting chaining together these triangle motifs from a Christmas ornament pattern by @yarngerie. I'm making 118 of them into a top. Yarns by @neighborhoodfiberco @fallen.daisy.yarn @leadingmenfiberarts @playatlifefiberarts and a couple of others without labels. Really looking forward to seeing what this becomes 😆😆😆 I hope it works!

DFW Fiber Fest! This weekend was such a blast! Thank you so much to everyone who said hi, who shopped in my booth, who spelled me for quick breaks, who hung out with me, who bought me drinks! 🥂 I never feel alone when I travel to this show, and it is so wonderful to be part of this incredible community. 😭😭😭 I somehow left with only two skeins of yarn 😯 but tons of inspiration and so much love. My first experience at DFW Fiber Fest was incredible. This jumble of photos is a glimpse into the magic! Quite honestly I didn’t take that many photos as I was in the moments and forgot pictures 😊 The organizers made me feel special and worthy. I reconnected with teacher friends and made new ones, learning from shared experiences. Students in my classes were fabulous and each one had at least one “a-ha” moment of unlocking a new skill. Vendors had fantastic and creative booths dripping with inspiration. And friends, so many friends. People I’ve know for years and new friends who feel like worn in friends in the best of ways.
Thank you @dfwfiberfest! I’m back at home with a studio full of notes and ideas, ready for what’s next.
