Every powerful story begins with people who believe it needs to be told.

Wounds to Wisdom is a documentary born from loss, strengthened by brotherhood, and created to spark conversations that have the power to save lives.

Our goal is to continue creating space for honesty. For vulnerability. For healing.

We’re honored to share why this project means so much to each of us.

Thank you to everyone who has believed in this vision from the very beginning. We can’t wait to share it with you.

This is more than a film. It’s a movement. 🤎 @w2wsupperclub

@wisdomnchocolate talks about his experience filming his story for Wounds to Wisdom. Being vulnerable about depression, anxiety and even suicidal ideation is not common amongst black men.

But we are changing that narrative one story at a time.

You’re safe here 🙏🏾❤️🫱🏽‍🫲🏾

Healing isn’t always found in a therapist’s office.

Sometimes it’s found around a table…

Where judgment is absent.
Where masks come off.
Where men discover they don’t have to carry the weight alone.

This is what Wounds to Wisdom was created for.

Big news ‼️

🎬 Wounds to Wisdom has been nominated for the 2026 Bristol Myers Squibb Mental Health Initiative Award at the Martha’s Vineyard African American Film Festival.

What started as a conversation around a dinner table has grown into a movement, and now a film dedicated to amplifying the voices, healing, and lived experiences of Black men.

Thank you to everyone who shared their story, supported this project, and believed in the mission. This nomination is bigger than us, it’s a reminder that conversations around mental health matter. To see it recognized on this stage is truly an honor.

The journey continues. 🙏🏾

my twenty sixteen looked like rocking the ‘vegeta-johnny bravo’, going to the ASCAP Expo & having our song selected for the R&B/Hip Hop panel (go SkyWriters!), getting a rook piercing, taking up boxing for a minute, “running” a 5k, my second year working at channel 5, taking a sabbatical to study music production in LA with Norah and going to my first basketball game. ten years really do fly by! fun times. good stuffs ☺️
